Les Miserables - i cried!!

I watched Les Miserables and i cried.. i could not help it!
I knew that movie back in High school, i heard of its musicals in theaters and the likes but never really thought of watching it as a whole or read its book.. Till now!
I also have to really admire the whole cast of the movie, they are amazing even my hubby was moved by it!
wish there would be more movies like that. all worth watching, every penny in the movie house is worth it.

I really want to watch that movie. It has everything I would want: it's a musical, a monumental historic film, and it has Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway! OMG! I just need to find someone to go to the cinema with me to see it. My fiancé doesn't like going to the cinema, and my bestie is going to Sweden for half a year, so... I'm working on it :D.

Well I saw this movie recently, to be precise, one filmed in 1998 where the protagonist Jean Valjean was played by Liam Neeson.
I know that this movie have been filmed many, in fact this film (whose history is studied sometimes even at school) is a "cult" and based on the novel by Victor Hugo .. However, I like to always see the latest version.
Me too, although I did not cry, I really liked this movie.

I hated the movie. It's such a drag. It doesn't really deserve to be 3 hours long. And Russel Crowe is such a bad singer. Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway were okay. I don't think it's such a nice movie. It doesn't move me one bit. Perhaps it's because I never take musicals seriously.

I know exactly what you mean. I thought I was prepared for the movie. I mean I read the book, saw other movie versions of Les Miserables, & I even saw the musical on Broadway. BUT none of that mattered, because I was crying during the movie just like everyone else. They picked the perfect people to play each of these characters & all did an awesome job. Well worth seeing & most definitely worth the price of the ticket.

yes i know plus i heard of those songs before..even know some by heart but then when i heard the characters sing it again like that of Anne Hathaway i end up crying again!

I haven't watched the new version of Les Miserables yet. I watched the very old version which is a movie in my childhood. It was a touching story and therefore I am not surprised this movie will make you cry. I think I will be the same, too. As the old version of Les Miserables made me shed tears in the past.

I think i need to prepare some tissue too aside from popcorn and nachos before watching the Les Miserables with my friend tonight. Good to know that it's worth to watch and now i am excited to watch it. Thanks

I have never seen this movie yet. And like you I have about the title (only the title) from school but I never bothered to read or watch it in stage plays. My invited me to watch this film and I think I will watch when I come back home.
