Please read the FAQs on User Rating and MyLot Reputation: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq11.aspx That should make it clear what the number in brackets by your name (User Rating) and the star which you see by some people's names (MyLot Reputation) mean.
The User Rating is NOT a post count. It is more accurate to say that it indicates the number of discussions you have participated in. There are a number of privileges which depend on the User Rating. When you reach:
100: you will see your MyLot Reputation 'star' and you will be able to rate other people's discussions, responses and comments (if you try using the rating system now, it will appear to work but if you refresh the page you will see that your rating has disappeared).
200: you will be able to use emoticons from the MyLot Code menu
500: you will be able to copy and paste more than just a few characters and you will be able to add images to your responses and comments as well as to discussions.

hi prabu you mean like in some surveys? no not at all . we also
have no pay rates as we are paid for quality posts and the better the quality the more we earn and the less the quality the less we earn.So no two people will make the same amount in one d ay here.

I am sure this will be delted. I hope you will read this before that.
I am thinking you are comparing this site to the site gather. Otherwise I am not sure what you mean by a point system.
myLot is paid real money for our participation in a 24 hour period. That means you need to write more than one sentence. That means participating with members and coming back to read and respond to what they say. Be sure to write all you want here because the more that you write, generally, the more you will earn.
There is not a point system. There is a earn real money every day you participate system!

The number behind your name is not a point system.
It is merely just to show how active you are, briefly, in the site. It isn't that important.
You get an increase in number for:
Commenting on a discussion x2 (one for your own comment then if you respond to someone else)
Starting a discussion (if someone else comments and you comment OR if two people comment on the discussion.)
that is all, as far as i know.
