I have about half a pack of strawberries to use up. I can't think of what I can use them for, I cut some of this morning on my pancakes. I was thinking of making Chocolate Chip Strawberries muffins.

Put them in a blender with yogurt for a smoothie, if you do not want to do the muffins. Actually the muffins sound quite good.

I am all out of them except for the ones I cut up and put in the freezer to make something out of later. I have some strawberry cake mix here that i wanted to use by Valentine's Day. I was debating wether or not to make the frosting myself and put the strawberries in it in a blender. That might taste yummy. My second thought was strawberry cupcakes with chocolate frosting. I could still make a filling out of the strawberries and put it in the cupcakes. Your suggestion sounds wonderful too though. I might even use them for a yogurt smoothie.

Strawberry Salad. You can do one of two things : Just put them in a salad Or the Dessert Strawberry Salad. Strawberry Salad as a dessert is just strawberries, pretzels, whipped cream, and strawberry jello layered. I forget which order, but let me tell you it's delicious!

You could make strawberry shortcakes, you could dip them in chocolate and eat them. There are so many things you can do. If you aren't going to use them stick them on a cookie sheet place in freezer, and once frozen put them in a freezer safe container, and you could use them to throw in a smoothie.

Why not eat them fresh? Why does everything have to be cooked? Just freeze them individually on a tray, if you can. And then, thaw them out when you want fresh strawberries. You can have strawberries on ice cream or, on hot cereal, or just have a bowl of strawberries, with perhaps a little cream and a sprinkle of nuts on top. Saves cooking. With fruit and even vegetables, the fresher - the healthier and better for us. I used to pick strawberries when I was a teenager, the farmer's wife had a huge freezer and every day, she would just wash and then freeze strawberries. She would spread them out on trays and put the trays in her freezer. Then, she would put the individual frozen strawberries into zip lock bags. That way, the strawberries are frozen separate rather than all stuck together. It was easier to thaw out the strawberries that way. So, a bowl of thawed out strawberries is almost as good and as tasty as fresh strawberries. Delicious!!! Yum!!!

They are out of season and already mush. So that's why I bake with them, or else they will turn into compost soon.

You could do a strawberry milkshake or one with some bananas added, a cheese cake or a jam for breakfast. Whatever you decide to do, enjoy!

I used o beat egg whites till fluffy and then beat in the strawberries, and sugar if needed, put the mousse in goblets and keep in the fridge.I suggest eating them soon, because after a while the strawberry syrup goes to the bottom.

When I have too many strawberries to eat before they go bad I usually freeze mine. Then I can pull them out of the freezer to use for muffins or smoothies. You could also cut them up and dehydrate them in a dehydrater or oven... they are really good that way!

I love them to Mavic.. last summer they were on sale so often.. and I ate them constantly, but then thought to freeze some for this winter...to make strawberry muffins, pancakes etc. I did the same thing with blueberries. But.. I have forgotten I had them and haven't made anything with them yet! I was just thinking about this this morning! I just made my husband a lemon cake and I am not much a cake eater, but made me think about the berries and will make some muffins tomorrow. I am going to try Ricki's idea of chocolate chips and straweberries and just toss in a hand full of chips into the batter with the berries and see how it goes!

Perhaps strawberry bread? It's pretty good. Though I don't know that I'll make it again as I have an adversion to things that I try the first time and get sick the same time frame I made it. It was tasty though...

I love to dip mine into some sugar and eat them and other times in to chocolate to have chocolate cover strawberries. You can make a smoothies with them or or even ice cream. You can also take plan yogurt and add the strawberries to it.
