New and Improved

How come whenever anything is new and improved it always seems worst than before? If I look a food and they change it, it's always worse and I stop buying it. Whenever a website changes something, it never works right. It will freeze up, crash or make usability more difficult. Have you ever used a product that when after they changed it, it was actually better than before?

Maybe because it gets old when you have to re-learn something over again. Like when you are used to what you currently use and there isn't even any problem with it, then the makers will go and introduce a newer one that you have to get used to again and instead of being satisfied you end up being disappointed because it doesn't make any sense. I also ask myself sometimes why would people want to change something that is working perfectly fine in the first place? And then when a much improved version is out, there will be lots of bugs and troubleshooting to do. My husband says, that they have to earn their money somehow.

i think some places and companies should apply the saying "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."

It's probably because people have to get used to it all over again and they have to work out the kinks. Small example is the chicken burrito at Taco Bell. My daughter, who is eight, realized recently that they are now using white rice. She doesn't like it. One of my first responses was, "Who told them to do that? Did they ask the customers?" I have to admit, they taste different and I understand where my daughter is coming from.

yeah i had a similar experience with KFC. loved their chicken and would go there about once a week. i understand that some of the changes were to make it healthier which is probably why taco bell went with the white rice. the problem is that the taste has suffered measurably. now i only go to KFC once every few months and that's only if i have a coupon.
