For two days now, I always end up eating midnight snack...so yummy :)

nachos cheese flavor - this is the midnight snack that i really loved eating, its called nachos cheese flavor. so yummy and irresistible.

Good day Fellow Mylotters, Since I tend to work late at night there are times that I do feel hungry. Even I ate good and enough food during dinner, still the feeling of hunger strikes. So as a result, I end up taking and eating a midnight snack. Hence for two consecutive days now, I always end up doing this and it is quite difficult to resist. Thus, I don't want to make it a habit but it I guess I was trapped into its taste, since it is really yummy and crispy.

I work at night too and feel hungry every now and then. I used to be skinny but when I started working on a night-shift I suddenly gain weight fast. Everyone seems to notice my sudden weight gain and keep reminding me that I'm getting fat. Hahaha! I know they can lower self-esteem especially that I don't want to be fat but I can't help the urge to eat. They say working at night is really toxic and one way of keeping up with stress is to eat. I guess the eating habit just somehow developed because every time I eat, I don't feel so stressed. The bad thing I noticed about working at night time for me is that I tend to eat a lot of sweets. It's like comfort food to me and sweets can really make you gain weight if you keep eating them. I don't like exercising and going on diet is never in my dictionary. Hahaha! My friends would always tease me that when I get 30 I'll probably have a lot of complains regarding my health because I'm definitely not living a healthy lifestyle. :)

hello there junerainemay, i guess, you need not to do a hard-way of exercise. those simple ones can do, like walking in your street in the morning for a few minutes. or perhaps just do a bit of stretching. as you have said, you didn't reach yet your 30's, so i can conclude that your metabolism is still fast and active, in this way, you can still easily burn down fats. in this regard, better to do it now than deciding to do it later. anyway, eating a lot of sweet foods such as desserts are really stressed-relieving. haven't you notice that when you backwardly spell stressed the result is desserts. so this is the reason why desserts are the antidote for stressed.

Yeah, a friend of mine has told me that desserts would spell stressed if you read it backwards. That's what I usually do. I do some short walking after I get off from the office. I live nearby my workplace so every morning when I get off from work I go home by walking but I don't feel it's enough to help me with all those unhealthy food I have been consuming during work...hahaha!

God konws how much I envy that you can always find something to eat at midnight.Haha,Compare to endure the sufferng of hunger an midnight,you are really happy.I totally understand your situation,because I had encountered same problem before. Guess you don't like outdoor exercises, try yoga,which is easy and can help a lot.Dancing blanket is a good choice,too.Well,as for eating,I suggest you eat more fruit.There are so much sweet fruit can take place of dessert.Hope you can back to your ideal figure soon^-^

. thanks for reminding me, well, i don't also want to make it really a habit, as i don't want to indulge myself in eating a lot of salty foods. anyway, this snack is really good and its so yummy, hence, once you pop, you can't stop

Really hope that you can control yourself and thus don't make it a habit.I suppose it is important to urge yourself everytime you wanna eat so late,you will feel good after that and to be honest,i always can't control that when i see yummy food.

hmm they say that lack of sleep can make one fat. yes because the tendency of staying late is to snack. arrgh.... i love snacking.. and sometimes that's particular food keeps us from eating and eating or certain drink. I have this tendency also to eat endlessly that's why sometimes I dont like to buy food and keep in the house. to stop myself from eating endlessly

Perhaps drink some soup, that will fill you up without giving you a lot of calories. Don't eat the hearty soup but the light broth soup. Make sure it is soup with lots of vegetables. Those chips look really good. I remember when I was little, I could wake up at four a.m. and find my mother eating shrimp and beef dumplings. She would share with me and they were very tasty and warm. Now I live by myself, I don't have food prepared for the occasion time I wake up in the middle of the night for a snack. We shouldn't do it too often but it's a great treat once in awhile.

hi there animegirl334, when i was still engaged in my desk-job work, i do buy dumplings and have it as my take-away food. then i will just re-heat it when i feel hungry especially late at night. but now, i can't buy anymore dumplings as i moved from that area. and i really missed eating that dimsum.

I have tried this but I can say that I can still resist in eating much of this. Junk foods like this has a lot of msg or monosodium glutamate so after eating you should drink lots and lots of liquids especially that you are taking this during midnight. As for me, what I normally eat when I have to stay late at night are bread or biscuits or cookies + milk since I am not fond of coffee. But, if what you can have instantly are these junk foods then I suggest that you minimize eating them for health reasons. As they say, the kidney normally gets affected when you eat lots of junk foods.

hi, yes its true that you will feel hunger when you still up in the evening and your body or your brain still working,but because i am on diet sometimes i tend not to eat rice in the evening instead of two boiled egg and that is enough for me.

Well, we have the same habit. My shift at work is from 12 noon to 9 o'clock pm and so dinner time is working time still for me. We were eating our snack in the office at 7:00 pm and so I am eating my dinner at 11:00 pm. I am still starving during that time. lol.

It is normal to feel hungry if we stay up late until midnight, I think it is a normal body response. It's not really bad to have midnight snacks, as long as you don't mind increasing a bit of body mass.

Haha, I couldn't agree more.. Food is really difficult to resist especially if you're craving for something. It's an advantage for me though cz I have fast metabolism. But it's not a problem for anyone as long as you know how to control your food intake.

You got to be tough to yourself to get this snack prank away. It's really not healthy to eat snack because in the long run, it can cause obese. It's okay to sometimes eat snack but not continuous days. Well, what I can suggest is you got to go to bed as early as possible. In this way, you won't feel the hungry pranks and go searching for snacks because you're sleeping. But, if you had to stay up late, then fully focus on any other things to do or on your work. Just ignore that kind of hunger, and it will soon go away. As least is a good thing that you ate enough good food during dinner.

I find if I eat too much sugar before bedtime sometimes I wake up wanting a snack too....in the middle of the night. So maybe eating something lower in sugar is the trick to not needing a midnight snack..

I used to feel this way when I first got here and experienced my first winter. I guess it's got something to do with my body trying to burn more fuel to curb the cold. Of course I got concerned because I don't want to put on a lot of weight. Thank goodness that it has stopped now and my dinner is enough to last me through the night.

its quite preferrable but considering the ill impacts it can create its havoc at its best for sure,so try to get rid of snacks and good sleep alone
