a Zombie romance movie?

Years ago I created a discussion about what paranormal monsters will be romanticized next after Vampires and werewolves. Many people answered fairies, elves and mermaids. No single person ever think a zombie will be used as a romantic interest. then years later, I saw this trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gGRHrr6IYdg a Romantic movie where the love interest is a zombie, I dont know if teenage girls will have the same reaction with zombies the way Vampires and werewolves makes them fall in love but the trailer makes me laugh. A zombie who fell in love to a girl... The concept is interesting but I hope this movie wont ruin zombies the way Twilight ruined Vampires and werewolves.

Me and my husband want to see Warmbodies it looks like a good romantic comedy. I hope it's as good as it looks like its going to be. It's different and that's what I like some times is the differences from taking something scary and make it not so scarey.

It also looks watchable for men, we know men loves zombies, so its a better dating movie. I hate twilight with a passion though, it really ruined vampires for me.

It didn't runi vampire movies for me and my husband. We like seeing the difference in writers because there is more then one kind of anything in the world. Not all men don't like love movies there are men that like seeing them all of the time and there are even some that hate action movies.

So far no one has dared to make a love angle with Zombies because of the way they are featured in movies. They are supposed to be mindless undead so there is no more feelings involved in them. I am just curios how will they insert that kind of an idea that zombies have feelings despite their condition. If you were to compare that to werewolves and vampires there is still a human part in their psyche that is why you can insert the love story in there. But for zombies it is hard to depict them to still be human anymore.

Haha that is really funny.... I saw the trailer and it looks like the zombie is also good looking as well. It looks like te heart also started functioning as well with that. Pretty interesting angle of the story though but I do not know if it would appeal others to watch this kind of movie.

The novel it came from is said to be a massive best seller that's why it became a movie.so I guess this movie might become a hit,I just hope it wont ruin zombies the way twilight ruin vampires. I hope no other directors will try to copy this movie's concept. The reviews of the movie from the critics by far all positive. we just need to see the moviegoer's reaction though. mean twilight is an awful ovie despite the hype.

basically the story is like this, he ate the brains of the girl's boyfriend, and with that her boyfriend's romantic feelings for her transferred to the zombie.so he absorbed her boyfriend's personality and feelings after eating his brains. weird as it may sound, eating her boyfriend's brains makes the zombie restore his humanity.

Can you really ruin zombies? I saw a commercial for that movie and thought oh lord, who is going to go see that? I get that it is a comedy as well as a romance, but goodness. I guess the book was successful enough that they wanted to make a movie of it.

I love Zombie movies but even though I will see this one, I am not sure if I will like it or not. I guess time will tell. Fido is about as close as it came before this one.

I searched Pedo's trailer and I liked it, The timeline looks like a futuristic 1950's and zombies are kept as pets.

I've seen trailers for this zombie movie. It looks pretty funny. I can't wait to see it. I have to agree with you about Twilight ruining the vampire genre. I watched Lost Boys the other day. Got me back in the right state of mind.

I love watching zombie movies. I remember this one zombie movie that is just like the one you were describing. But on that movie the girl was the zombie one. They were boyfriend and girlfriend and the girl was bitten by a zombie. She is slowly turning into a zombie but she resist eating the brains of her boyfriend and the boyfriend refuses to leave her or kill her. They looked like they loved each other so much. The girl is even piercing herself all over her body when she feels the urge to eat just to save her boyfriend from her. She even fights other zombies that wants to eat his boyfriend and even if she already become a full blown zombie, she still doesn't want to hurt her boyfriend. this is an old zombie movie.

that movie seemed gorier but I find that cooler than warm bodies base on plot alone, I want to know the title because it looks interesting. I need to find that movie base on synopses alone.

I dont really know if I should be happy with this movie or not because this movie is based from a novel that is about to be a series. I mean because of twilight teenager girls wanted to have vampire boyfriends.

I cannot picture Zombie being romantic with rotten and gross flesh . There are a lot of romantic movies of mermaid already and cartoons. I like twilight a lot , similar to vampire dairies which I never miss . I dindt like breaking Dawn part 1 but two made up for it from my perspective .

know you watch antm, if you watch the trailer, you will notice the bestfriend of the protagonist is played by Analeigh Tipton who is from the cycle 11 of ANTM. The novel this movie is based from is popular, so this could make Analeigh a big star.

That new movie that's coming out that you're talking about looks really stupid and I'm not going to watch it because it's not going to be anything like what zombies are like and the movie just looks pretty bad. It looks more like an awkward love story rather then a zombie movie.

Its based from a best selling novel though, that's why ts getting hype. Yes ts not going to be like the traditional zombie movies because this film is a romantic comedy.

I totally agree with you I don't think that girls are going to react the same way to zombie love as they do to vampire and werewolf love. I saw the previews to this though and I thought it would be interesting to watch although, I don't like watching zombie movies. They creep me out. But anyway, I did see a movie and and I think it was called Zombie Honeymoon or something like that. It was about this girl who married this guy and he turned into a zombie on their honeymoon. It was a pretty cool movie. That was kind of like a love story involving a zombie. Because it was basically where the wife was choosing to stick around with her hubby even though each and every day he was turning into a zombie and going around eating people. That was only one of the very few zombie movies that I enjoyed watching. Just cause it was a romantic movie and I like romantic movies.

I dont think this is the typical zombie movies marketed for boys because most zombie moves marketed for boys are all about violence. The movie is pg-13 not r-18 so I dont think this film will be scary. Its not even marketed as a horror film, its marketed as a romantic comedy. the movie you suggested seemed interesting, I will try to watch it later.

i saw the trailer on youtube and i really think it's a really great bonding movie. i'm not really a fan of twilight. i really find the part where the male protagonist tried to talk to his bestfriend who's also a zombie.

and the only reason why they were bestfriends because they were the only zombies that talks. but if you notice his best-friend is middle aged. its the first zombie movie that tackles the idea that zombies can be cured.

I don't think people would like a zombie romance movie because zombies are kind of gross, while vampires and werewolves have been represented as "sexy" and attractive.

that will depend on portrayal, before the little mermaid, people are afraid of mermaids. Before those vampire romances, people are afraid of vampires.

I honestly am looking forward to watching the movie... but what is nice with that is the guy eventually become human again in the end.. unlike the vamps where they remain as vamps and married a human who became a vamp too lol.. so this is different tho..somehow..i guess.. lol.

he does seem like he is turning human again as he actually remembers the first letter of his name. the funny thing though is that he is able to retain his human like behavior after eating the girl's boyfriend.

I have to agree that Twlight did not do much for the vampire stories and I don't understand what the appeal is. Alot of people I know, even my father in law love the Twilight saga. I fell asleep during the first movie. After that I even tried to read the book to give it a chance and still didn't enjoy it. I have a hard time picturing a zombie as a love interest but it might be different...

Warm Bodies - Warm Bodies ..........
After seeing the trailer I too felt Warm Bodies was something like twilight. I will not watch this movie as it doesn't appeal to be a movie worth watching ...

Its a less emo version of it, thats what I guess its appeal. the entertainment industry is controlled by teenage girls you know.
