I would, I have. Well, I've never been overly prosperous. But I have had more than I needed at times. In my brief times of prosperity, I find myself "giving till it hurts". I do believe in lifting up those around us. On the off side, at some point this is called "co-dependency" or you find yourself enabling someone and their bad choices, and these are not a good thing. It's definitely good to help those in need, but remember, if you give a man a fish, he will eat for a day, but if you teach him to fish, he will eat for a lifetime.

I always help people whenever I got the chance to do- of course depends on my capability. I know that having more money means helping more poor people. but even with small money we can still help people in many ways.

To help poor people, you don't have to be rich in order to do that. You can always help poor people in many different way other than just financially. A little bit of kindness and generosity will go a long way making their life more bearable in this ever materialistic world. Becoming rich will only empower you with more resources and bigger capacity to help poor people in term of money. Yes, i would help poor people when i am rich, i had been doing that even at a time when i am not rich, it is no doubt i will continue to do so after i am rich.

You don't really need to be rich to give a poor person some bread, hamburgers, or even couple of dollars so that he/she will not go hungry for a day or two. In this way, you are helping poor people. You will be surprise, most of the time, it is the 'not' rich people that are helping the most on poor people, only a very small percentage of the rich in the world is helping the poor, many of the poor are getting help from ordinary folks and through their own efforts and hard works.

Yes, I agree with you. We can help poor people according to the ability of our financial to help them. Isn't it?

You are just like me. If I were a millionaire I would like to help the poor. However, I won't contribute a lot to some institutions, just a token. This is because most of those who runs these institutions cannot be trusted. In most cases they will swindle and squander the fund meant for the under-privileged. I prefer to buy food and give to the poor or deprived children or old folks directly. If the fund is set up by well-known philanthropists, for example like Bill Gates then he will run honestly.

Of course, it makes much easier to help others being rich. One thing I would do is to create my own company for two reasons: to create places of work so that more people could get a job and I would make sure to give it to those who really need one, the other reason is to assure my future income so I can continue to help others. But, if you really want to help to people, it's not necessary to be rich, as there are so many ways to help: - when you see an older person carrying his/her shopping, we can help to carry it for him or her. - offering our seats inside the bus, something what should be normal but it seems that many people already forgot! - if you have children, you may notice that they grow very fast, so the clothes which they can't wear any more maybe you could donate the wardrobe to another mom who needs clothes for her small child. - if you have books which you have already read and you don't need them anymore, you can donate them to a hospital, children's home or a retirement home... - you can use your free time to work in a honorary capacity, for example in a social lunchroom, in a retirement home or for the red cross. These are only a very few ideas. If we think about what we are able to do, we surely may find many more ways to get involved with something.

If I just became rich I would start my own business so I could make sure I will not run out of money because I know what it is like being dirt poor! My husband and I are always helping people even when we are not rich so if we were we would be able to help SO many more people which would be really nice. =) We just love helping, but right now its hard to help financially since we don't have money ourselves...

If I had a lot of money, this is the way I would love to help poor people: 1. I would pay for a couple of kids' education and monitor that they become good learners so that they can obtain degrees. 2. I would send mothers to training centers where they can learn a skill to enable them to be self sufficient. 3. I would put up a training center where men can be trained to be good, respectful boyfriends, husbands and fathers. They will learn there how to lead. 4. I will have a 'Finishing' school to train girls to be role-models in society, not only to look good and have etiquette, but also to demonstrate proper behavior, attitude, and manners. 5. I will build Old Age Homes for the old and weary.

Personally, if it ever got to the point where I was in a position to consider myself rich, or even well off, I would love to help the poor and give back to them more than I do now. Especially those who have been handed the wrong side of the stick and are really trying and wanting to get ahead. Since I have been homeless and a lot of times had to struggle to get to where I am, I always take time to remember where I came from and know god will bless me when I help them.

Yeah there are a lot of people who hope to get rich in the future. If we were rich I'm sure that we would help a lot more people. Right now I like helping others and I'm not rich. So I would love to help people even more if I were rich. It would be easier to do as well.

I would love to help them without disclosing my name.I have undergone abject poverty and know what it means to be poor and how one feels when one has no money to satisfy one's needs.I have undergone this feeling. There was a time when I had to pick garbage to sustain my family. Now I have money enough to sustain my family.I need more, because I have yet to discharge all my duties towards my family.I have been eagerly waiting for the day when I have sufficient money to help the poor.

If I get truly rich, I would like to help them f course, but in a way that they will earn it themselves. I will build a business, and hire honest working people to give them a chance to have to earn their own way of livelihood. It would be easy to give them stuff but it would only last them a day. But if I put up a business, we both can help one another: I will have returns on my investments, while they will have some means to support themselves and their families.

Good idea. There are thousands people do that, and it is still the best way I think. I hope you will be the one that can build your own business and hire poor people to give them chances to be rich. Thanks for such good response.

Even if I am not elite, I can still help poor people. You can have volunteer work to give support for the people. Money is not always involve, transferring essential skills are enough to let them start from there.

If I will be rich, well, I would say I am blessed. Of course, I would help the poor one because I know the feeling of becoming poor. Those poor are less fortunate and has less hope. I would share the blessings that God has given with me.

I help people anyways, and I am not rich. I don't understand why more rich people don't help the poor. I just don't think all the movie stars and idols need to live in such luxury homes. Why don't they live in smaller, less expensive homes and help build homes for the homeless? If I were rich, that is what I would do - build some nice townhouses for homeless families, with a center to help educate the homeless. To teach skills so that they will have the proper training to avoid ever being homeless again. Not impressed by the movie, rock or sport stars and their fancy homes. More impressed by people who volunteer their time and money to help those in need.

You can have more and help the less fortunate by giving them a way to earn money.... Visit www(dot)richeru(dot)com and watch the video that is under the compensation tab.

I am not rich and I have a very tight budget. But I still help people whenever I can in my own little ways. If I am rich, I am willing to help more people. But helping shouldn't be that much. Helping much may make the people be dependent on you. They might think that they are always people to help them. i think that is not healthy. They will not think of other ways to solve their problems

Yes I would love to help out those less fortunate if ever I become rich. I wish more people who have money would do this. Instead of buying a extra house to live in a few weeks of the year, they should be spending that on people who don't have anywhere to live.
23 Jan 13
Yes, I think I would like to help poor people if I am rich. I always love to have a chance to help people who need, when I able to help them. So start to help them everytimes you have a chance and ability to help them.

Well, From time to time, I save money for my future and someday will own a business and by that I can help people... and SOMEDAY, I can build a foundation...

Absolutely.. I experienced with a limited food and our family doesn't have enough money to send us to school we struggled a lot and I don't want that to happen again in my children.. with God's grace our life now is much better.. anyways if ever I get rich I will surely help others also.. maybe I will build a foundation that helps poor people to have a job.. like livelihood projects.. because I think one of the reasons why there are poor people is because they don't have a job to make a living..
