Horrible hip pain

Last night when I lied down for bed, my hips sort of ached, they got worse as I just laid there. I can't even explain the pain, at first I thought maybe from standing at work all day before. But it got worse, I didn't fall asleep until after 2am. I kept trying to find a spot, and position where it wouldnt be as bad. It then became into like a throbbing pain, I ended up putting a pillow on both sides of my hips, and sort of laying on a slant in the air. I've been noticing a lot of joint pain lately, my arms, wrists, elbows, shoulder, legs, hips. I can see my wrists as I do have caarpel tunnel in it from working at the coffee shop for many years. It just started back in November which was when I started this medication my GI precribed as well as my iron, so I am not sure if this is causing it. I have a GI appointment tomorrow and I will bring it up.

I am sorry for your pain. I was going to advise you to see a doctor but you already have an appointment. I. too, have pain but it is in my foot and leg. My feet have begun to go to sleep while I am walking. I sometimes have no feeling in them. I have been to see the doctor and have had labs done. All my tests came back negative. I will be seeing my doctor again the first week of February. I may have peripheral neuropathy. I am interested in what your doctor tells you.

Look up the medication online, and see if that is one of the side effects of the med. and yes, ask the doctor and the pharmacist both. Have you tried laying on one side with a pillow between your knees, it puts your body in better alignment.

I am sorry that you are in pain, and can't get comfortable, as last March I fell turand hurt my tailbone, and turnI was in agony for months. I couldn't turn over, as it hurt so bad. My tailbone healed, but eventually, it went into my back, and it does hurt most of the time. I can turn over at night, but it still does hurt. It is hard to function most of the time, but I am dealing with it. It seems the older I get, tje more aches and pains I get, but it goes with age, and I just have to deal with it. I hop my back pain goes away eventually. Take care, and have fun in mylot.

Most likely the pain came as a side effect of the medications you are taking. I hope the pain goes away soon. I know how hard it is to move around and experience the pain as well.

It sounds rather like a sudden arthritic crisis but no doubt by now you will have seen the doctor and have some idea of the cause and, hopefully, some pain killers so that you get a good night's sleep. Sometimes it is just a change in the atmosphere that sets joints playing up, people complain of that all the time here. I hope to hear that things have calmed down and that you have been given some good medical advice.
