I have been a member of Swagbucks for a long time earning swagbucks by doing searches, watching a variety of videos, participating in their daily polls, signing up for enewsletters and playing games. Doing this I have earned many gift cards to give as Christmas and birthday presents. However I recently broke my foot and lost my job,so right now I really need to earn from home more than ever.Last week one night I went to bed with appoxmatley 2,100 swagbucks and I needed 2,500 swagbucks to earn a $25 gift card to help me with food. The next morning I woke seeing the same amount listed for me with a gun ho attitude to earn as much as I could to I could redeem my swagbucks for that gift card. So,I did the daily poll that earned me one swagbuck and proceeded to do two tasks that earned to between 300 and 400 more swagbucks. But I only saw points for one of them and I wanted to see which one I was waiting for and went into my account. And as soon as I clicked the place to go there my total dropped down to 1,330 swagbucks! I posted on the Swagbucks wall on Facebook to see if this had happened to anyone else and found another woman that morning also lost 42 swagbucks.I went back to the swagbuck site and contacted them through email.Later that afternoon I got a reply saying they do not see where I should have that many swagbucks.I replied back to them.I went back to the Swagbucks page on Facebook and my comment was gone!Within a half hour I heard from them again telling me that they would not give me any swagbucks back. Has this ever happened to anyone?

I had them take away 40 SB from me one time. I canceled an order I placed through Shop & Earn and they took away the 40 SB while the points for the purchase were still pending. But in my case I got the points back the next day, when the Shop & Earn transaction credited to my account. Did you look at your ledger and see if there are any deductions there that would explain your missing SBs? I think I would go through and add up everything that I'd earned since the last time I ordered a gift card. Sometimes the bar at the top of the page doesn't show how many SBs you really have. I've never had it be that far over my actual total. Most of the time it shows less than I really have until I refresh it. I hope you're able to get the problem resolved! If there really is a glitch with the site, they should be willing to make it right for you. Please keep us updated.

Hi frugalmommy, Yes,I went to the ledger that's what caused the SB's to go down.I looked and nothing has been deducted.I think your right and I will go total up what's on the ledger.

I used to use swagbucks pretty often. It was one that I could get only about $5 every 2 months though. Now with dial up the site barely loads at all and it wouldn't be worth me trying for it at the time being since I have other ways of earning. If this had happened to me, I did not notice. I don't think it did though so I am thankful. I wonder if it is something like myLot where are money is taken when discussions are deleted? For example something about an offer changing the amount or something like that.

I've never heard of it either so I hope it isn't something that happens often now. I'm surprised with the response as well because I thought swagbucks was a good site.

Hi dfollin, I have never been on swagbucks and Infact I have never heard of this site before but the things you tell me are usually first signs of site going scam or site having some problems and trying to cheat out the members of their money. And if they are arrogant too then it means that it is time to look for new sites.

Not necessarily. For instance just because our earnings here are adjusted for discussions deleted, it isn't always the reason a site going scam. There could be something in the T.O.S. that states why this happened on swagbucks.

Sorry that happened to you. I once had my account de-activated just because I searched too much apparently (but isn't that the point of the search bar, and SwagBucks in general?). The website used to be so much fun until they doubled up the points and got rid of all the cool prizes...
