I can't eat out anymore.

After I got sick a couple of weeks ago with that horrible flu, I found that I didn't tolerate junk food anymore. I can't eat fast food either. It makes me so sick. I wound up not being able to eat anything for about 6 days with that flu, lost about 7lbs as a result. A few days ago, we ate fast food and my stomach was hurting so bad. Anytime I eat any sort of junk, it goes right through me. It's like getting the flu reset all of my bodily functions and cleared me out completely. I guess it's a good thing. This means that I can only eat healthy food, which was what I wanted to do anyways. I've needed to do this for a long time so I can lose weight and get down to a proper body weight. It's hard not to eat junk though, I was so used to it for so long. But I'll get used to it in time.

The side effect of having recovered from flu will be to your benefit, kris. Sometimes, we tend to eat junks because it's more convenient. But because of its bad effects now on you, you will really avoid it already and eat healthier foods, which is very good indeed for you.

Your appetite must have not been back as of yet. And it would take several more days before you can be eating the way you used to. But if you feel like totally getting rid of eating junk food, then that is a good start!

Better you are aware of the disadvantages you can get from eating junk foods. I don't like eating junk foods although it's lovely. Even in our home we don't allow family members to eat junk foods..

That's a great thing for your family. Its rare or completely unheard of in the states as I'm sure most know that.

Wow, I wish something like this would happen to me, so I can stop eating junk food. But I have noticed though I can't eat at fast food restaurants any more like Mc Donalds and Burger King, because my stomach cannot handle it. It so hard for me not to eat junk food though, but I really want to try my hardest to try and eat more healthier, because there are a few pounds that I would like to lose. For the past couple of days though, I have been wanting nothing more then just fruits. Its weird in the past few days I've just been craving fruits and nothing else. I am normally like wanting a chocolate candy bar or a bag of potato chips. But that is good that you are trying to stick to eating healthy. I hope I can stick to this as well.

were you a heavy junk food eater before?Perhaps the msg and artificial flavors used in junk foods took a toll on your health.I get cankersores when I eat Tortillos. It is too salty for me.When I eat cheetos or other cheese flavored chips ,I get sick in my stomach and Iend up going in and out of the toilet. I think somehow it is good for you that your tummy cannot tolerate junk foods. That means you can save a lot of money from not eating out in fast food restaurants.

Nope, I wasn't a heavy eater of junk. I would eat out a couple times a week while working, and would eat junk food a few times a week. But otherwise I wouldn't eat that much of it.

It's not good to get used to junk food as all know it causes severe health problems but why your body is not tolerating it as it doesn't seems the normal case. May be you are still not okay so you should contact doctor to get the proper treatment. I know you are happy as you are losing weight but you also know that this is not the normal way to do that.

I'm sorry that you had the flu, but I must say that is a very good result. I am always happy to hear people say that they are turning to a healthier diet--especially considering that 25% of all Americans eat fast food every day. Eating healthfully means that you get to enjoy beautiful, delicious food. What is there to get used to in that?

I had a similar thing happen with myself a couple years ago when I got pneumonia. I got to the point that I just couldn't take foods that were really greasy because of the texture of them. Now as time has passed, I've found that I am able to eat a lot of the things that I used to be able to eat. However, there are some foods that I am still not able to eat. The main example of something that I am still not able to eat is grilled cheese sandwiches.

Wow, that is actually great that your body has rejected junk food. Now you can eat healthy and not worry about putting on unnecessary weight. I wish my body is like yours but alas I'm a junk food addict too.

I am sorry you got sick so hard. But I also like your positive thinking about it - even from such a bad experience you managed to extract benefit from it, and you determined yourself to eat healthy foods only. It's so hard for most people to switch from junk food do healthy nutrition. I must say I'm a little jealous because I'm a junk food lover and I bear the consequences of it. It's only bad that we all learn what's bad for us the hard way.

I'm sorry to hear that you can not eat out anymore. Wow, you did lose a lot of weight. Glad to hear though that you are happy that you will be able to eat healthy food. I as well would like to lose weight but it is hard to do. I will have to keep working at it.

I don't know how often you had eaten out before but my first thought was just that your body needs a break from all of that. I would suggest a water filled diet and for the time being to stay off that kind of food, as you said. Perhaps in time it will be like normal for you to eat out again but until then I hope you can stay healthy.

dear, It's great to hear the news that you will start to eat healthy food although it's quite difficult to stay away from the junk food.Actually it's the habbit that influnces your feelings. You used to eat junk food, then you enjoy this, but if you start to get into the habbit of healthy food and hold on to it, i believe you will also love the healthy food, that needs time to adjust. Hope you will be more and more beautiful and healthier.

Sorry to hear that the flu that has been going around got you. On the upside, you have no choice but to eat healthy foods and avoid junk foods. With that kind of diet, I'm sure that you will be able to recover soon.

I'm sorry for that. I suggest don't eat junk foods too much and eat fruits rich in vitamin C like oranges or mangoes. One must really take care of oneself and one's body. Be healthy so that you can do your activities and not be bored in life. Just a suggestion.
