Rare Lynx sighting in colorado.... seen everywhere on the net........

A retired nation parks employee...took a photo of a rare Lynx he saw in Colorado in the usa. He has recvd. over 3000 likes and comments on facebook. 3000 comment son a popular social site. And even fox news has given him some time on their news shows. Very few Lynx have been seen in colorado over the years. Only 141 reported in under 10 years there. So you see they are rare..... Seems they dont reproduce very well. We dont have lynx here in mexico. We just have to many cats.......

I wish I would have seen the picture. I will check the news. I love wild cats. I was always interested in them. From Lions to cougars. Most of these cats are becoming rare. We do need to preserve them.

I would assume that it was a Canadian Lynx, which have been designated as an endangered species and reintroduced into Colorado a few years ago. Even if they were more common it would be unlikely to see one very often because they tend to occupy dense forest areas. I cannot remember ever seeing a lynx. There are none native to England and as far as I can recall I have not even seen one in a zoo.

That's nice to know. I wish I can see the lynx with photos. I am sure in our country, we have wild cats and never seen much since they are in the mountains.
