My mom told me few days ago that some of our plates are already quite old and needed to replace.
Since my work place is near into some malls, she told if I could buy some, even just a dozen, if I have spare time during lunch break. I did have a chance to buy this afternoon cause one of my colleague went in the nearby mall to buy something so I go with her. And maybe I could ask her opinion about what I will buy.
Well most of the plates that I have seen was with floral decorations which is quite so girly. I still looked around for other designs when my eyes caught a plate with circle design. I guess it will be just okay for us since most of us at home are boys. I bought a dozen and hope my mom will like it.
I really dont know what to buy and what will buy.

Well I also like to buy something that are plain, simple and white but most of the plates that I saw were big and quite heavy. Since there are kids in the house, I end up buying the one with circle design which is light in weight at the same time. And my mom liked and appreciated it.

Ha ha. Well i think your mom sent you hoping she might get some girly plates. But you are a boy so it is pretty obvious you are going to collect some of the bigger things in there. Well i am sure she will like it. Sometimes it is good to check out some odd things for kitchen. Mostly there are stuffs which only women can like. As it is supposed that they are the species that are going to be the max who will be shopping for such things, so you probably won't find some guy stuff most of the time. But good that you found that you liked there i am sure your mother going to like as well. Hope she does not change her plans later in future to herself go and buy things [just kidding]

Well good thing that she liked it. She said that the design is just okay and fit in the house. She already wash it and placed it in the kitchen, ready to use.

I don't think that your mother was overly concerned about the design on the plates, or she would have either gone shopping for them herself or given you more specific instruction as to what to purchase.
If I sent my boyfriend to buy something like that, I would give him some more defined instructions as to what I want for the household.

I think plates with circle designs will be fine since most of you are boys and your mom will love it. Last week I also bought a new plates because my husband want to have a new sets of plates and bowls, so I decided to buy a dozen of Japanese plates with bamboo designs and got 20% discount in SM MOA. Have a good night.

Oh nice that I you got discount. I got the same discounts with our plates. My mom said that it is just fine and the design is just okay. Good thing that she liked it and already placed it in the kitchen. I just told her that she could used the old plate for our cat Garfield's food.

In my take, before buying kitchen and plate wares, I make sure that those plates will fit in the theme of my house, be it the dining areas layout, the home’s color scheme etc. because when you buy some plates that doesn’t fit in your home, it will probably look noticeable and unfitting to the dining area.
For example, if you have a wooden theme structure such as wooden rustic tables and chairs, well it’s best to buy something that is simpler that will compliment your dining table/area like plain white plates.
In addition, floral plates are quite traditional styles so why not put more modern twists on buying such kitchen wares like buying plates that have different shapes and sizes rather than buying the common ones.
