So envious of Cheska Garcia's new house featured in KrisTV earlier

Oh my, the house was really a cozy and comfortable home to live. How I wish we could have something close to that. Well, it's not impossible, but we have to save up a lot. The house wasn't that big as a mansion, but the interior was carefully thought of by both Cheska and her husband. In fact, the husband claimed he was so hands on with the building of the house and most of the design ideas was his. He was so happy and proud of their project. I so love the entertainment room, the family area, the kitchen and the small dip pool. There were television sets in every room, even in their bathroom. I hope I was able to find some picture on the net, to share, but to no avail. Dream big, dream high!!!

Save up? No ma'am. Save and invest. You'll have one of those dream houses for sure. Don't dream of too many television sets. It will just be a sure waste of time. We tend to watch too many shows when we really have much to do to improve our lives and our finances. Anyway, sorry for the unsolicited advice.

In my point of view, a house is not really an investment. It's an asset for sure but not an investment. The way I view investments is that it should be earning. Normally, a house would only earn if you rent it out or sell above your purchase price including renovation and incidental expenses. To achieve the same house or better just what the family of Cheska has, we must build our investments (earning assets) in the early years properly. Oh yeah, there were just too many tv sets. We don't even get to use it a lot, when we have only 2 here in the house. But, I love the entertainment room. And, buying a house is surely an investment, too.

Promotion, huh?! Anyways, thanks for the invite. I'll look that up when I have the time. I still think having a house is an investment, because even if we are not earning in monetary form each day you live, having your own home lightens your burden and assures you that no matter what happens (at work, or life), you have a house to come home to, and if worse comes to worst, you can make money from it. House value appreciates, unlike cars or gadgets. It's really something you can count on for the future.

No need to be "envious" you. me or everyone else here in mylot can one day have their dream, Cheska I would believe never dreamed that she would achieve this herself one day, if it will come than it would come, just have faith, if something is for you then it is for you, who knows you might have something better tomorrow cause no one can really tell how the cards of life are dealt, good luck to all of us.

To be realistic, not everyone really gets to earn their dreams. Dreaming is free, but reaching it, takes a whole lot of effort, time, and hardwork -- and maybe, even luck. Right now, I'm pretty contented with the fact that we have our own small home, enough for a family with 2 kids. We have a very simple lifestyle. But of course, you can't take it away from a home maker to get envious with how beautiful and well designed other homes are. Although, my husband and I have big dreams for ourselves and the family, right now, I am not really expecting a lot.

Sounds like a dream house to me. It's every couple's dream to have a house where they could pool their thoughts and build from it. Great to hear the husband is hands on, I'd like to think I'm like him. Me and my wife are also planning our own dream house. We already have the lot, we just need money for the house itself.

I love celebrity houses seen on TV. I also like the house used as location of Yolanda and Lucas' house in Ina, kapatid , anak soap

I also liked the house of Pokwang. It's certainly all from her hard work. She so deserves a beautiful home filled with love for her craft and kids. The location is so scenic.

I was not able to watch it but there are also other celebrity homes that I was able to see already on tv. I don't think I could be able to afford expensive homes like this if I will just be staying with my offline job. That is why I am trying my best to look for other opportunities and to be able to save for me to start a business. I agree let's dream big! and work for it.

That's right, if we just stay an employee, we will never earn millions in a year. The best way to go is to open a business and work hard for it to prosper.

I haven't seen that episode but I do remember integrating some designs of some of the celebrities into our own dream house. Right now were still finishing it and its a slow progress but like them me and hubby want to be so hands on in literally building our home.

Wow, good for you. At least, you've already started. We own our house for 5 years, now. However, we haven't really invested on interior just yet. We just have the basic furniture items like sofa, dining set, etc. Of all the rooms in the house, I want the kitchen remodeled first. It's where I see myself spending most of my time, in a couple years from now. We hope to complete our savings for home renovation this year, but I doubt if we can even match that kind of house they got.
