I have a Friends and Family Railcard to get discounted train tickets for me with my children. In my student days I had a Young Persons Railcard and that gave me similar discounts. Before that I had a Network South East Card and that gave me discounted train fares for the South East region. I find airline tickets expensive these days. I used to get a ticket sent to me by post and now I can be emailed my ticket to print myself. I loved it when one of my kids was under two years old. The airfare was so much less in those days. Aged 11 years old is the end of the child prices on flights. Which rail cards have you had in your lifetime so far? Did you pay full price or get discounted train tickets? How do you feel about air fares these days?

We have the scope to get e mail train tickets. The payment is made by credit card. But don't get any discount facility. Your railcard system is very good. Now travel by air is so expensive that only rich people could afford air flight.

Thanks for your wonderful response my friend. Sometimes it is cheaper to pay with a debit card than as credit card. Yes, air travel is more pricey than it used to be due to the airport tax and the more expensive fuel for the plane. Low cost airlines go on short routes in Europe but long haul flight cost loads.
