10 years from now. What would you think your life be?

February 3, 2013 10:00am CST
I was thinking about me 10 years from now. I would have a family on my own, have a car and a big house. And become a journalist that gives advice to the people who are in pain whatever reason that may be. Being a journalist is not really my type. Since the they I discover mylot. It comes to my mind about being one. Hey, I feel great giving advice here. Based on my experience of course. But not all the times that i know what they're dealing with because I haven't experience it but I give what's my heart say and what I think is right. I hope someday, 10 years from now. I will be a great journalist. How about you guys?

10 years from now. Let me see. I will be married, no children as yet. Have an average size home, and still in school trying to fulfil my career as a neurosurgeon. 15 years from now or 20 years from now is the mark where I can say I have accomplished something big.

Renhard, good for you! I am hoping you make these achievements. I think you can. it's very good you have this line of thinking. Much luck to you and yours. Becoming a neurosurgeon is a large undertaking. I met a customer who left the gaming major (my industry) to become one. It's very hard work. Kudos to you.

Hey there. These dreams you have, they are feasible. There is no reason you cannot achieve them. I believe you can and you will do this. You are correct, it's not about when, it's about the fact that it's a reality, in your own mind, now.

I guess I have not thought too much of the next ten years, the past ten have been pretty interesting. I suppose my hope is that my husband and I find our calling. Something to financially sustain us that is also something we would enjoy. People often say "take your passion and make it a career" though the things we enjoy you cannot profit off of.

In 10 years from now I am hoping to still be healthy and young looking first of all. Lol. Also, I would love to own my own daycare center so I hope the get the chance one day to do that! I also want to own our own house someday, since right now we just rent. Most of all I just hope my husband and kids are happy and healthy! =-)

I like this post. I hope you get your dream. I hope you do get to open your own daycare center and have your own home. I went to school with someone who had a daycare center in her own home. Is it possible for you to start small, and look after children in your place now? Maybe just a few kids, and start to build up a reputation for yourself, make a blog and webpage about yourself and your love of children. Then, you will have a reputation of being an excellent caregiver. You can get a start here http://www.sittercity.com. there are people in need of good caregivers for their children, you can start, perhaps, right where you are. good luck to you

I think in 10 years i'll be gray. I can imagine myself dating older women. Hopefully i'll have saved and been wise with money. I'll probably be doing some customer service role though I do fancy acting on the side. Nothing big but i'd like to do something creative. Hopefully i'll be wiser. Ten years is an awful long time. So much can happen and one thing i know about life is you can never really predict much. We're capable of meeting our expectations but also completely changing our life which is scarey and inspirational

Ten years from now.....I hope that we will have our own house instead of renting. Both of my children will be out of college and have satisfying careers. Hopefully, they have a significant other that they love and are being loved in return. Who knows, maybe a grandchild or two! :) Would be great if I was retired.

If I am very lucky, I will be alive in 10 years from now. If I am very lucky, I will be living in this same house, my house for the past 20 years. I have a family, a car and a big house. Right now I prefer to make plans for the next three months. For the moment, that`s all I can do. I just came from a few days vacation at the countryside. I hope I can get someone to travel with me to a nice place, hopefilly to Brasil, for a couple of weeks.

I hope in ten years from now I am mortgage free, have spare money, less things to worry about and that my children are enjoying their lives. I hope also that before the next ten years that they find a cure for some of the health issues that I have, so that I can live a happy normal life.

Not to be pessimistic but I think in ten years I still have to struggle financially. These days even the basic needs are not met so either I would be in debt or have to work hard to earn. If my parent grows old and get ill I have to set a certain amount for their meds. If a few friends ask for money I may have to give them. As a result, I don't think getting married is likely. Possibly in 15 years?

I would be older and my son is a big boy already. :-) I hope ten years from now I can have my own house too and a farm. I'm dreaming of a farm since I was a kid. :-)

Being a journalist, I shud tell you that our job is not to counsel. Of course due to our mix experiences on different happenings, we may (not can) imagine a little better. And about family, car and home etc. are just secondary things for a journalist. To be a good journalist, you should be able to write some good and meaningful lines at least. Today, people are considering TV news anchors as journalists, which is far from reality. The basic quality of a journalist is to be able to write a story in full length within specified words. All the best.
