Is the Internet a Place, or a Communications-Network?

I think it is more of the latter---"a series of pipes," it has been called. It's also been called 'the home of mind.' And I can see that while at the same time knowing it is NOT a place. Being "on the Internet" is more like being 'on the phone' than it is like 'cruising the information-superhighway.' I'm 'on the Internet,' but I am never anywhere else than my small apartment (while I'm online).

Nice it was your choice and you enjoy it ,keep it up. Now it is better on aplace where you enjoy most, irregardless of place. In so doing you are more safety at home.

Internet is a place to enjoy have fun, time pass and spend some time so that we do not get bored for example we are doing right now though its for special purpose. when we are internet we don't know how time passes though we may be doing anything on the internet ,how alone we may be and in whatever the situation we are.Internet is the place to communicate with others and spend some time.

Most refer to it as a virtual place to converge to for information. So I guess adding virtual to it makes sense, too. We may be physically anywhere while also being inside this virtual place. A place within a place within a place...
