Hello Friends I am using yahoo mails since long time, but one thing I don't able to know so far. I am having few mails from certain place, suppose for example I am having notifications from mylot itself(well this is just an example as I never use notifications here). Now I can create folders in the yahoo mail. Now is there any way that all receiving mails from mylot go directly to mylot folder which I have created. Well, that can give big help and I can start mylot notifications too, as I don't need to manage all things after that. Well, if someone know please share the trick here, it will be big help.

I have a Yahoo account but have not used it much at all. I find Yahoo to be too detailed and everything there seems to be a task. Also I have noticed, some sites do not like Yahoo mail. So I have been using Gmail for a long time now and I love it. I get my folders set up and all my mail goes to the folder I tell it to. If I were you I would use Gmail. But if you want to use Yahoo then go look in the settings. I am sure there are instructions on what to do. I do know that when you set up a folder or filter, it does take time for the mail to get there. The email learns where it is supposed to go.

He he.. Yes.. But I never noticed that option, or may be I didn't want to make my account messy by trying different unknown option. But I am glad I started discussion about it here, and got the good solution for it.

Hello my friend. Actually there is another way, where you work far less because they do it for you. Both me and the wife have been using this add on for ymail for a couple of years now with no problems. It is called Other Inbox and you can find it on the left side of your Yahoo Mail under applications. It's a fast instal and you can create as many folders as you like (some are predefined) and after you send emails to the folders, it will do it for you in the future.

Sorry, I had it set about 3 years ago I think, I just searched it's name for you and explained from what I remembered. Just check the otherinbox application from your email account and see if you make tails ends with it, It's pretty late now for me to verify it and give a good coherent explanation on it, but as I learned about you are interested in new technology you will appreciate the app.

Well, I didn't get you here. Are you talking the folders which we create in the yahoo mail? I have created them and sent few mails manually in them. But still I was getting the future mail from the same address in the inbox only.. But after using filter option as suggested in first response, I able to get them in particular folders directly..

Hi akp, Go to the mail page/mail option - use 'filters' and put the exact id you want to receive to that particuflar folder. Check the yahoo tutorial link too. http://help.yahoo.com/tutorials cg/index.html?pir=sBuaVydibUk_RCTSFRPMH_koEzHzLJ5k7gqqGFIi3k1op_s_A59LpyFgOQ9N2SEEqD8zTfNdgxVqzpWMfG9LYadNVBbkYhAc_g--

Superb!!! I didn't even need to check that link. I found the mail option and then filter, and yes able to add all mails now in particular folder. Thanks a lot. I tried to search about it on internet too but didn't able to find out the proper way. I guess its not easy to find out that filter option. Here, first response directly solved the issue. Thanks a lot.
