Could Tinnitus (Ringing in My Ears) Be a Sign that the People Are Not Good Yet?

I think tinnitus is a sign that I'm listening 'too hard'---my brain so-wanting to hear something that it makes up its own sound and lets me go merrily on my way ... could be why YOUR ears ring after you hear a loud BANG (because they're expecting the banging to continue). I don't hear many loud BANGs nowadays---mostly just the quiet-hum of my PC, the occasional running of my AC/heater, the television sound-&-music for a few hours a day, and the sounds of the neighborhood (loud cars with too-loud stereos driving by, the too-loud party goin` on at the bar a couple blocks away, the random operations of the car-wash across the street & -down at the corner) But is my brain judging it all as "unworthy," judging the only worthy sound to be the whisper of the ringing it plays in my ears?

My nearest cousin had had tinnitus for years and he has gone to doctors, psychologists and has tried alternative medicine to get rid of it. Nothing has helped. I wish something happened to make the tinnitus disappear. His quality of life is not as good as it shoud due to this.

All we can do is pray this Scripture for him---Colossians 1:9-14. "Search" it!

I also get that but not often and it would only last for a couple of seconds. When I went to my ENT he checked my ears and he said its doing fine. I guess because I would listen to my iPod and have my earphones on, sometimes to the point that my ears start to hurt not because of the loud music, but because the earphones itself hurt my ear. Even those tiny ones that are seem mild when attached to the ears still irritate my ears.

hi mythociate thats a gr eat theory but i doubt its medically right but as I do not remember years back what my doctor said at the time your idea is as good as any. When I am very tired at night I will hear it .I live behind a large Vietnamese grocery store and they have a lot of condensers for refrigeration units on the roof and at night they make this loud weird noises so I use earplugs to shut it out and ikt seems to cure my tinnitus for the time being.I live in southern calfornia in the twon of Gardeb Grove and also in little Saigon a 26 squareblock of Garden grove all Vietnamese stores and homes. these were the boat people who fled the war and landed here in sSouthern California.

My dad once had tinnitus. And I think it took him about a month or two before it was completely gone. Have you gone to the doctor to have your ears checked? he'd surely prescribe you something to get rid of it. Meanwhile, if you still have the ringing in your ears, try covering your ears to eliminate the sound.

It's not a mental issue, it is a physical problem. I would go to the doctor - when was your last physical?. I know I had tinnitus, and I had a disease, which was the mishapen of the bone inside my ear, also very low iron.

So how do you improve your iron-deficiency? Does that make your tinnitus lessen?

I had an iron infusion because my iron was so low. The average person, can take over the counter supplements. Yes, it did lessen it.

No, they are good but the problem is your ear maybe you are always fun of earphone attached to you ear listening good music. Why not consult an ear special to check your ear.
