A week ago I started watching Argo on my pc with a friend. After watching the first 20 minutes of the film, something came up and my friend had to go. Today we said that we should watch the rest of the film because it looked interesting and we are going to watch it from the beginning! Has this ever happened to you, to stop the film because of something unexpected and continue watching it another day?

Yes, it happens to us often, but usually it happens on purpose. We will rent movies to watch with the kids and only make it halfway through before their bed time. So we plan to watch the second half the next day, but usually end up watching the whole thing instead! I guess we get more of our money's worth that way...

Yes, in the old days that's what we used to do too...LOL. You would rent videos and watch them again and again before you had to return them. I guess that's why I remember movies I saw when I was younger better than ones I saw last month!

That's so nice for the kids! When I was a kid, I loved watching a children series calles "My little pony"! So my dad was renting those vhs cassetes from the video club and I was watching a couple of epeisodes the first day and some of them the next day!

We could do the same but we thought it would be better to start again from the beginning in order to get in the story again and feel like we were watching a complete movie! I imagine that it would be hard to follow up if you were watching the film in 4 parts!

Yhea but If I will do that I think I can't finish the film at the end . I only do that when I'm busy and need to see because it is a good movie.. But most of the time If I'm free I finished the whole movie in one seat.

That's why it is better to watch the movies at night, at this time you might be able to watch the full movie uninterrupted! Thanks for sharing!

That is the beauty of watching the movie at home on the computer or on the DVD. There have been many such movies when we had to pause for days in between. But the one whee I didnt like to pause was the Schindler's List but we had to pause it the first time due to an URGENT assignment from my client that day... and we both felt sad because the pause was when we had already completed viewing over 90 minutes of the movie

I also think it's worse to pause the movie when it is towards the end. Then you can't watch it all from the beginning, and you won't be able to get in the atmosphere of the film the next time.

It cannot be avoided but I really hate it. Everytime I watched movie I'l make it sure that no interruption will happen.

It's more effective for me to plan this for the night. So if I start a movie at that time, it is less possible to get interrupted by other people. The only thing that may interrupt the movie night is to fall asleep! lol

Yes, this usually happens to me with the Bollywood movies I would watch online. They usually last for 2-3 hours and sometimes the loading time online is slow due to my internet connection. I had to continue watching it another day because I would watch it at 12mn and I don't want to sleep too late.

That's a good reason to record a movie on a DVR or watch it through a service like Netflix. You can stop the movie and then pick it up where you left off. It;s especially good if you have to go to the bathroom or let the dog out. lol

I don't have netflix here but it's definitely better when I watch it on dvd because I have the option to pause it or replay it whenever I want to! Generally I don't like to watch the movies in parts thought because then it's hard for me to get in the mood of the story again!

Yes, for sure it has happened many a times. Either unexpected company came to visit or someone needed us so we would have to leave. I watched Argo it is a very good movie and its based on a true story, which made it more intersting and edge of your seat scary. If you can let me know if you liked it or not.

I always try to see the whole movie the first time but this incident was unexpected and we had to change our plans! We just finished watching Argo and I liked it as well. Since you've watched it, I have a question: The pictures at the end of the film were real ones? It had some images from the movie and they were compared with some other black and white images. The similarities were amazing, were the black and white pictures from the real events?

I can't remember of what situation that be in stopping to watch the movie then continue in another day. Or maybe when I am watching that on TV then continue it on another day. Though I've already experienced of watching the movie inside the cinema then I am going to repeat that same movie but it can be in another cinema. I remember when I was still a kid just because I like the movie much then I asked my nanny to watch it all over again on another session but that is the same movie.

I believe it has happened to everyone to repeat a movie because they liked it very much! I remember that a few years ago, in 2003, I watched "love actually" twice at the cinema and I have been watching it every Christmas since then! Thanks for sharing!

It happens to me all the time, and not only when something else comes up. I sometimes decide I just don't like a movie and stop it, and later (even years later) I decide to give it another try. Sometimes I actually end up liking it. Also, I tend to get bored easily, so if a movie is longer than two hours and not fabulous, I'll probably give up on it.

Oh yes, too long movies make me feel tired towards the end. Well, sometimes we might have different likes and dislikes at various periods in our life. Isn't it weird to like a movie that you didn't enjoy that much when you watched it a few years ago? I have noticed that too.

I have done this only once, I was wating this movie online and my internet connection was bad so I couldn't watch until the end. It wasn't that interesting so I never went back to watch it. I know what you mean, but I prefer to watch my film selections till the end even if I have to interrupt them because then I will wonder what happened even if the film is boring!

Yes these things does happen. Sometimes when you watch a movie then suddenly there is some urgent and you have to go so that means you have to complete it next time. And even sometimes there can be more than one break depending upon the situation. I hope you have completed the movie.

I have done this as well but generally I like to finish the movies that I start even if I don't like them. Bad movies are a waste of time, I am thinking that they might get better as the story goes on but it rarely does! This one was good though and we wanted to watch it again.

Yes, it happens to me too., i watch a movie in parts because of some distractions. Most of the time though, i,'m doing other things like cooking or laundry that's why I can't really sit and watch the movie in full. If I find it really interesting, I watch it all over again to catch up on the parts that I've missed.

That has happened usually because something urgent has come up. Like we received an important call, forgot to do an errand and had to go before store closes and sometimes wanting to watch a different movie instead.

I have had to do that before but what I prefer to do is start where I finished off last time, instead of re-watching the bit that I'd already seen. If I still remember what happened then I wouldn't re-watch it. I have in the past though, for the benefit of the other person, who I think fell asleep the first time!
