I want to live forever

Don't get me wrong. I am not one of those who was born with a silver spoon in her mouth. A lot of what should not happen is happening to me but I have learnt the art of taking those things in my stride. I look forward to the day enjoying whatever is there in my life. I want to live forever and am forever in the attitude of gratitude. I hope I have company. Why not anyway. There is a positive side to everything. Picking wheat from chaff is all what we need to do. How do you go about doing this. Do share.

I think it will be tough to live forever, and I think we can easily say we want something that we have not experienced yet. We can't all be too sure.
As for me, I can't think of living forever. I think it would be cool being an immortal... but things can get boring when life is endless, we tend to take things for granted and won't be as enthusiastic about life if it was not limited. So I think it is better for us to remain what we are, mortal.

Here is another one to whom I have to explain that no one wants to live forever and nor is it possible on this temporary earth
I did that to echo! Now if you visit her box you will find a prayer there and whoever says that prayer or follows that principle will definitely would want to say that they want to live forever. It is the mind set rather than what we have or don't have that we can forever live in the attitude of gratitude.

This was not about being in heaven!

LOL, I see. Well, if this was about being in heaven with God to live forever with him, then I say, why not? If God is willing to give me eternal life, why would I refuse?
Haha, why do I always imagine my eternal life as me playing video games in one of the rooms of the palace where God lives? I think I'd be such an annoying brat there, I wonder how God would treat me. Maybe he'd send me back to earth so I can mature more?

I don't wish to live forever. There's a few reasons why not:
Unlike you I am not an optimistic person "picking wheat from chaff" usually I'll just sccop up whatever is there and if I can get some wheat out of it... nice?
I also believe this not everything. This is temporary. There is an eternal life if we go through this one with Christ by our side. So I don't think of this as so great when I know I will be in an eternal life without pain/fear/etc that will be perfect.

Its a good out look to have, a positive one.. about life. The law of attraction says if we think positive things, good things will come our way.
I've only ever heard the first four lines of that prayer and I didn't know it was a prayer. Especially didn't know it was for AA.1 person likes this

I was born with a silver spoon in my mouth...but it was horrendously tarnished...some-one forgot to polish it! Just like life...sometimes it is tarnished...so it is up to me, to put the POLISH on it! As the old adage relates; make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. If things go horrendously wrong...they can always be used as a bad example.
How do I go about this...I think being humble would be my first thought!

I guess what you want is impossible. You cannot live forever. You're mortal and not immortal. But all I can say is that you just enjoy your life as long as you have it and live it to the fullest! :)

Everyone knows that no one can live forever but when one has learnt to accept adversities and is able to move on happily that is when that feeling comes that one would want to live forever. How do you feel about life. Have you also learnt how to face life cheerfully despite having problems?
