One of my friends posted some thought provoking info.. Have a look: In 2012 the world spent $1735 billion on war. It would take $135 billion to end poverty. Man continues to ignore God's commandment to love each other. Who is ruling this world this time? Your thoughts?

Who is ruling this world? "The prince of this world" as Jesus said. God is with us, supporting us, helping us and guiding us, but He is not "ruling" in the sense that his way is agreed and acted upon. The deceiver is in control of that - at least as far as God will allow him to be. Never fear. Things will work out in the end. There will be victory for love and justice.

All of us are tired of nonsense things that are happening in our world nowadays so I do really hope that in the end, Love and Justice will prevail. For now, i'll be keeping my hopes up and faith for i believe GOD will surely do something great in the near future.

If you believe in God, then surely you believe that love and justice will prevail. He is Love and He is Just. The great thing that He will do may not seem great at first. It may not even seem great at the second look, but it will be Great, with a capitol "G"! The things that are happening in the world have to happen because he is giving the Opposition enough rope to hang himself, as it were. Keep the faith; read the end of the Book. We win.

I fear man is not yet ready to give up the need for power over each other. What will it take? A major change in our DNA or something?

I know there are millions who already have shown that they want God's kingdom to rule and it will take over the earth either we want it or not. If you read Daniel 2, you will find that we live during the last world power of man. What will happen soon? After describing the last world power, the scripture continues "44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever." You can read more about this seventh world power here http://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/102011166?q=daniel+2%3A44&p=par So we have no reason to worry, as this prophecy has been fulfilled exactly..

Very sad! I once read that we could end poverty by just the amount of money we spend on perfumes. We have to be patients and wait for God's kingdom to come and administer the resources of the earth in a just way. It may not be too long now!

Yes, we have a wonderful future ahead of us, as God's Kingdom is the solution to our problems. It will save us from destroying ourselves and the earth. That is really good news!

Forgive me for being cynical, but, when did mankind follow "God's commandment"? It is only when it suits us that we actually give a thought to what religion says. Normally it is pure selfishness that guides on what we do. Administrations have this vested interest in power which comes with office, and people who man the administration often brainwash the people who they rule into insecurity and take advantage of this insecurity to wage wars on the flimsiest of the circumstances. This is the sad truth. Even if a person in office is religious, then a war is waged in the name of religion. History is full of such examples. Humanity, which in my opinion is the greatest of religions, has been pushed back in terms of priority and will continue to exist there for all time to come.

You are right, the first two human beings made the wrong choice and turned their back to God, who had given them life. After that, most humans have also chosen the wrong path, thinking they are wiser than their Creator. It is obvious that we cannot solve the world problems alone. But there is a solution, and you might like to read the following article. I made a search with will the wars ever end and found this: http://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/1102005070?q=will+the+wars+ever+end&p=par You can choose another language to read it if you wish. You will also also find a lot more on this site. Let me know if you have any questions..

According to a survey... There is loads of black money in this world, that it will be sufficient for each one to have more than 1000 bugs if we distribute it to common people throughout the world. Can't understand which way the world is going??

That's one of the ugly truth behinds man true nature. They are only concerned on seeking more power for their own good. They do not really care about their surroundings including the people living in this world. They just continues fighting and steal lives. I guess the one who's currently ruling this planet is non other than humans themselves.

That is what has happened during thousands of years, and we can be sure that when God acts to save the earth and those who want to obey Him, it will be very clear that it is the only and best solution. Psalm 37 talks a lot about this. Here are a couple of verses: "10 For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be. 11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace."(KJV)

it is obvious that evil is ruling the world at this time. you could tell it, because we are not living how we were meant to live on this planet. we were supposed to live on this planet as free people. now, this is a prison planet. this world is not being ruled by love at all.

Yes, we were meant to live in peace and harmony. So many of us have turned our back to God and wanted to follow our own will. We can see the results now. But we can be sure that our Creator has a plan to save mankind very soon, before we destroy our home completely.
