This was asked by a newscaster! Can you believe such a question!? What do you think? Is this a legitimate thought or theory or just one person's crazy talk?

I know a fast object passing by can stir up a breeze, but I've never heard of anything stirring up a heat.

...and I bet somewhere, some Obamabot asked why Obama doesn't just write an executive order to stop it? LOL

Did you hear that a meteorite (several, I think) hit Russia last night? It was early morning for them. Did some property damage. I do believe the scientists who said it was nothing to worry about were off in their assurances.

Actually, it's even worse. She said "Is this an effect of, perhaps, of global warming or is this just some meteoric occasion?" As a "news" caster, she should know that "effect" means outcome. She actually asked if the asteroid was caused by global warming. I hope someone assured her that it was "just some meteoric occasion."

What on Earth? I'm sorry but Global Warming and this asteroid have not a thing to do with one another. The asteroid would have to make contact with the Earth to have anything to do with that celestial body. At the moment it is just a flying rock.

Who does she think she is, Katie Couric. Katie also has been known to ask really stupid uninformed questions of people on her show. These "news" people so often get so full of themselves that they think they know everything about everything. Apparently she really has no clue as to what an asteroid is or what global warming is for that matter.

This is an example of willful ignorance. One of the first things I learned in science classes as a child is that the earth is a self-contained ecosystem and space has no weather. What are they teaching in schools today?! This newscaster shows what an idiot she is, incapable of rational and deductive thought.

I think it's rather hard to put one's mind around the idea of a space traveling asteroid's path as being affected by the earth's atmosphere or weather! I do believe gravity is one of the first natural laws primary education teaches about. ...I've heard some folks/scientists/weather persons say global warming in large part is due to some solar activity that's been occurring.. So perhaps in some scatterbrained way, she has stumbled upon some truth after all? If solar flares are magnetic/gravitational that is(?)?
