What is the your view on the creation of Telengana?

Do you think Telengana should be created? I don't know the detail but with the little knowledge I have my view is that it should be created. I also think we should allow creation of Gorkhaland. What's the harm in giving statehood to people of this region?

Divide of telangana issue is now became a very complicated subject to central level politicians.
There are many problems involved in this state division matter.
May be it would be very beneficial to talangana population of 10 districts.
Leading political party cannot decide this issue with ease.
Those parties will think of their benefits by doing so...
In case of they finds more merits, they will divide the state immediately.
No body can say that what are the problems will arise by doing telangana separate.
Let us see what will be happen in future.....

I agree its more of political issue. They think of their benefits and losses rather than people's.
There are many issues regarding the telangana. People have to loose certain things while some gain that's for sure.

But what are some things that people will lose? Ip people of the region deserve a separate state they should be granted. Politicians play with the lives of people if they delay giving what people deserve. My view is that politicians should not deprive people of their right because they want to be in power for more time. Justice delayed is justice denied.

While in some cases, creation of a separate state helps, it is not a magic wand for all the ills plaguing a particular region. I think if all states give priority to development of all the regions in their states(s), we would not see more movements for newer states.

Creation of a new state is always a politically contentious issue. While in some cases, like carving Jharkhand out of Bihar, as well as carving Uttarakhand out of Uttar Pradesh, the reasons were very strong, and things went quite smoothly, in some other cases, things have to be dealt with wisdom, and without making any enmity between proponents and opponents of the new state.
This is difficult at times due to vote bank politics. Yet, this has to be dealt with maturity and with a high sense of firmness.

True. But sometimes the reason why some oppose could be because of selfish reasons. I think the Gorkhas in West Bengal or the Nagas in Manipur deserve separation from the mother state. I think in such cases those who oppose are not thinking about what others deserve but concentrate only on what they will lose. They lose power or revenue. For example, Darjeeling generates lot of revenue for the state. So WB have more to lose but by staying with WB they are losing out. India gains if such deserving people are given statehood though some section may lose, so I think son spidering that those who demand deserve separate states should be created in such cases.

Having lived in Hyderabad for a little over 10 years now, I've had a chance to speak to a lot of people regarding this issue and I can say that its pretty contentious. While both sides have strong reasons supporting their claims, I believe the situation has gone out of hand and become politically concentrated. For the good of the people, I hope Telangana is not created as long as Congress is in power in AP and TRS president KCR is at helm of all things Telangana.

There's word doing the rounds that Congress are ready to divide AP but are asking KCR to become their ally in next year's elections. They're also talking to Jagan saying they'll drop all charges against him if he supports Congress too. Cheap politics. It may be untrue but Congress in AP has been a bigger failure than in the centre. A third term for them or their allies in AP will mean doom for the people.

I feel that creation of separate states out of existing ones like Telengana, Vidharbha etc should be done after due diligence, and with proper planning. However, once taken, the decision should not be rolled back just to satisfy a few selfish interests.
