well, it is now february 15 in my part of the world. valentine's day was yesterday and it was a fairly normal day for me. i normally wouldn't celebrate valentine's day but i decided to celebrate it this year. i ordered flowers for my wife and had it delivered to her office. i also ordered strawberries and chocolates arranged in a bouquet and sent it as well to her. she loved both gifts! i also got a single stem rose and chocolates for my six year-old. she loved it as well. she had made cards for me and her mom. very sweet of her! she also got a bagful of chocolates. apparently, one of her classmates gave each one in class chocolates. heaved a sigh of relief as my daughter is way too young to be receiving chocolates from admirers! lol! hahahahahahahahaha! anyway, in the evening, ordered a couple boxes of pizza and two buckets of chicken plus had cake to share with the family. over-all, it was a good valentine's day. i would agree with people who say that valentine's day is a scam and has turned into one of the most capitalist holidays in the year but hey if you can afford it and you wouldn't break the bank, then go ahead and spend valentine's day with your loved ones. so my fellow mylotters, how did you spend valentine's day? feel free to chime in. cheers and happy mylotting!!!

It passed pretty unnoticed in my house. My partner finally remembered at around 4pm and came and gave me a kiss. That was it, but I'm very happy with a kiss.

I spent Valentine's Day at the doctor's office with my husband. After nearly 58 years of marriage, we live each day at a time and pretty well ignore the holidays. Oh, it really was a good day . The doc said that the spot on my husband's lung has not grown since his last visit 3 mmonths ago.

Thank you for your well wishes. The spot didn't even show up on the x-ray his PCP ordered. Since my last post, my husband has has cataract surgery and is doing well. He can hardly wait to have the other eye done.

For me, everything was pretty routine as per a regular day. In fact, I have never celebrated Valentines Day before because I have never dated before and don't have a girlfriend. I am on holidays at the moment so the whole Valentines Day for me was pretty much eating the main meals, watching television and being online. I guess until I find a partner, I don't think I will be celebrating Valentines Day for the next few years.

Yeah I would agree that valentine's day is just another holiday created for us to spend money on unnecessary things but overall it's a good holiday and we need more days that allow us to celebrate things like our relationships with the ones that we love. I had a really good valentine's day because I had the whole day off which was nice because it's been a while since I last had a day off. My girlfriend had to work a double though so I spent most of the day alone. The time that I did have with her though I took her out to lunch and we got chinese. Then I took her back to work and after I picked her up I had ordered us a pizza got her some really good juice that she likes and I also picked us up some gelato as a gift. Overall it was really fun eating really good food that she enjoyed all day and I really enjoyed my Valentine's day yesterday.

Since I live alone, it was just like any other day. I spent it doing the sites I am a member of, and that is okay too, as I like quiet myself. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy being with my family. but valentines day has always been quiet even when I was married, as we didn't do anything on that day. I am so used to not doing anything and that is okay. I was free to do what I wanted to do by myself. Sonds like you had a nice valentines day. Take care, and have a very good day.

No celebrations at all! Just the usual dinner. But my mom in law gave me a big sized, heart-shaped cookie with pink frosting. My husband didn't even greet me, much less send me flowers. But its okay, Im sure that he will make it up with me next time. Not that he celebrates valentine's day but still, I can force him to, lol!

Valentines for him was nothing ..Ahh i envied those man who brings a bouquet of Roses , my mind then shouts ..hope someone will sent me Roses but as expected no one hahaha poor me but its so okay ! Anyways have received some greetings also but flowers and roses are too different ..There are really man who are not demonstrative about their feelings and i salute man who are not ashamed to show and expressed their affection .

I mostly worked, but I helped my son make valentine's for his friends, and my husband cooked one of my favourite dinners. It was a very pleasant day overall.

A Gift - A lovely golden ring makes my Valentines Day truly complete.
Wow that is a nice way of spending Love Day. Indeed Valentines Day is somehow is a scam but only if you allowed yourself to be scammed. You can celebrate it anyway in your own practical and wiser way without ending up thinking you were cheated. My husband turned really generous this Valentines Day. He did not give me any flowers because I told him to just do that some other day when flowers are not overpriced but that did not stop him from thinking of a way to make me feel his love in a more special way. He gifted me with a rositas golden ring crowned with Titus and ruby. It was a pleasant surprise. My husband is turning sweeter and sweeter as the years go by. We've been married for almost 28 years now but he never run out of surprises during special ocassions.

I spent valentines day with my boyfriend. We only got together a short time because he had a class to attend in the evening. We watched a movie, Die hard 5, ate a little, talked a little then went home. He gave me flowers, blue, and a love poem in a hurriedly made card. Now I am thinking about what to give him on white day (may 14)

For me it was a normal day, i dint even realize it was a valentine day. My partner traveled some few days ago and phoned me as he usually does, asked me how our daughter was doing without even mentioning about valentines, i assumed he didn't remember. However, i could meet a few people in the streets in red but it didn't really look like a valentine day in my town.

well, just that morning I heared a lot of bad words from my husband and later he came while he was smoking, and asked me to get ready to go outside, then we spend all time out side anyway that I did not hear any good words from him but I said thanks that at least after a long time he took me outside and I got some fresh air.
