I would add a warning too about sweets because I know someone who nearly choked on a peppermint. It was the hard round flat type and he swallowed it accidentally. It got stuck in his throat and he could not bring it up or pass it down. For a few minutes there he and his wife were afraid that it was going to kill him. I have avoided this type of mint ever since. Probably many hard boiled sweets are equally dangerous.

Accepting your advice and thanks for telling this.I know that sucking candy can be cool but doing it for a long time may not good for us.Especially the mouth as you said.So hopefully you get better soon and not to do it next time.

I suck candy, but only when I am in the car, usually I will chew chewing gum, sugar free. I have never had a mouth ulcer through eating candy, you also have to be careful with your teeth too!

You are right I couldn't agree more. Those who love candies and sweets enjoy them but wash or rinse your mouth with water before bed or brush your teeth to prevent oral cavity problems in the future. Enjoy but give a limit. Ok.

One reason this happens is when we suck on the candy we tend to leave it in one spot in our mouth this is what causes the sores in our mouth hope it gets better soon

I think the lesson here is try to move the candies from place to place in that way it does not cause a trauma to tissue that results in mouth ulcer. Lesson learned good to hear that.
