They're showing it right now online. They revealed the controller, some streaming capabilities and hardware specs. Now they're showing some game footage. Are you exited about this? I must say I'm kinda disappointed with the look of the games and hardware itself. Doesn't really look like a generational gap between consoles and I feel like it's gonna look outdated really soon compared to PC. The consoles features are also very similar to Wii U and I haven't seen anything really original. Are you ready to jump on the new generation console ship or you'll rather stick to your PS3 / xbox360 for some time?

I'm not. I wasn't overly impressed that PS3 won't play the original PS games. I have gotten used to XBOX360 and will stick to that. I prefer XBOX360 over PC games like Oblivion and Halo. Can maneuver better on the XBOX and enjoy the wider screen of a TV over monitor.

I'm total opposite. I can play fighting games, racing games and arcades on consoles but every other genre I'd prefer on PC. I would never play FPS game on a console.

I play fast paced FPS games where flickshots matter a lot. Games like Quake can't be played with a controller. I mean they can but it would be a joke.

I am a master of fps on consoles not on pc though. i guess it is because I practice with consoles for fps practically all my life. Sniping long distances is my speciality though. I love battlefield 3 ps3.

I probably won't be buying it, though it does look nice. 8GB RAM, a nice graphics card, and lots of other nice improvements. The thing is, by the time two years have passed, the hardware is no longer top notch like it is when it comes out, which is why they make new consoles every 4ish years.

The hardware is not top notch even on the day it gets released if you compare it to PC. But that doesn't matter because all games will be tailored for the consoles first. Xbox 360 and PS3 are 7-8 years old. The new generation will stay just as long or even longer.

Yea, I agree. They are never really top notch when they come out because they have been in the works for a while. It will last 4+ years though, as graphics keep getting better and better. At least it is better than the wii u ;)

Up to now I haven't seen how the actually ps4 will look. I saw a little peep of the controller plugged into a rubbish looking thing, I am almost positive that ugly looking thing that it was plugged in could not be it. In the live stream I see they talked about the features but not about how it will look. To me look is very important as well, I will more likely be attracted to it when it looks magnificent. I don't want a dull trophy on top of my television/ under my television/ beside my television if you get what I mean. My personal opinion, the moment I heard them say it is a computer inside a little box, I have a great feeling people would much prefer to buy/ build a gaming pc than waste their money on it, just my feeling. I have to say though that some of the games that they showed for it seem very interesting. Very interesting in deed. Really disappointed though that my jaw never dropped; I never saw anything that really made me say WOW.

They still haven't shown how it will look. There's a computer inside every game console. But while xbox has identical hardware as PC, Playstation's architecture was a little different. But from every developer interview I've heard, they said it's a bad thing. They had to learn how to program for PS2/3 while programming for xbox was pretty much the same as PC.

Well this is pretty exciting for gamers like us. I will look forward for this. Must have for sure. I would stick with my Ps3 for now but will try to get one in the future of course.

Wow, looks like I am really outdated! I am still using my old playstation, I think it is the smaller version of the first playstation. And I cannot even go online on it, and I would still need a game shark for game cheats. It's either I am really good with keeping and using my stuff, or I am just a cheapskate when it comes to my gaming needs.

I saw it a few weeks back and it looked like nothing but a cablebox on steroids. I am not excited simply because I got all excited about the PS3 and now I am extra bored with it after all this time..I don't even want it. Whenever I feel like playing video games, I'll stick to what I got..

That sometimes happens. When I got Game Boy Advance, I stopped being interested after playing only 1 game on it.
