Finally Arsenal managed a win after a poor week, but they barely managed to streak through. Playing against a club that is mired in a relegation battle, they barely managed to win the match. Of course, Arsenal dominated the match, but their finishing was so poor that despite the hordes of chances, the only one that they really took smartly was the early one by Cazorla which put them on top within minutes of the start. But then they could not kill off the match and Aston Villa nearly made them pay by equalizing in the second half. How Arsenal conceded to Weimann from the middle of the defense was really mind boggling and clearly shows that the defensive woes are far from over. But, Arsenal managed to keep attacking and were rewarded when Cazorla scored his second of the match barely minutes before the finish to secure a 2-1 win for Arsenal. Combined with a loss for Everton and the fact that Chelsea play Man City, this might be a good week for Arsenal in their chase of the Champions League spot for the next season. Cheers! Ram

After two consecutive home losses, Arsenal could ill-afford another defeat at their home ground. At one point of the game, especially after Aston Villa had equaliser, it looks like more pressure will be piled on Wenger. To his relief, Cazorla came to his rescue. Thou ain't convincing, any victory will be very much welcome. But still, I think they will have a tough fight to qualifying for the CL next season.

Yes, Arsenal were jittery in the middle when Aston Villa scored. I think the goal that they conceded was also a very poor effort right down the middle. Cheers! Ram

If Arsenal could keep winning like this, maybe Cazorla will be happy to stay. If not, will he goes after Fabregas and van Persie?

Cazorla has just joined the club. It is too early for him to contemplate leaving just yet. Cheers! Ram

They did scrape a win but Aston Villa are fighting for premiership survival and so will not be an easy game for anyone. Manchester City beat Chelsea and so was a good result for Arsenal.

Yes, Man City beating Chelsea was good. Tonight West Ham take on Tottenham and if this result also goes in Arsenal's favor, then despite everything this might be a good weekend for Arsene Wenger and his boys. Cheers! Ram

Arsenal had not been doing all that well recently, I seriously doubt they have a chance at EPL. It augurs well for the team with their chase for the CL spot with a much deserved win.

I think winning any title is out of the equation now. The EPL title probably now is Man United's to lose considering they are 12 points ahead of the rest. But yes CL would be a decent achievement looking at the way they are playing currently. Cheers! Ram
