I know Facebook can be addicting, full of drama at times, and exciting as well. I enjoy reading and posting occasional updates. I do get aggravated at times, but have learned to let go of that aggravation. I also hide posts that annoy me. I was just wondering if any of you ever felt like you needed a break from Facebook? Have you ever felt like you needed a break from facebook? A break from all of it? Did you deactivate your account? Did you ever just not go on the social networking site for a long time? Did you go a long time and not post anything?

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well i can understand your situation very well but to be very honest i have never felt like taking a break from this social networking site as i have always enjoyed it and have used it in a more positive way which i think is lacking in most of its users. What say?

My answer is no, then again my Facebook page is painfully boring for those looking for drama. A bit of bathroom humor is about the only lively bit your going to find, then of course, the antics of some pet cats and pet birds owned by friends. Infant birds are always worth a laugh, as they look so funny when they are just getting their feathers.

Hi, I have two facebook accounts, right now one is deactivated. This account is where all my real-life friends and relatives are. I think yes I needed a break. It's been almost a year since I deactivated it, and I never felt so relived in my social networking life. Lol! I don't have a social networking life because I have a real life. I spend more time on blogging and also here in mylot, but not on facebook anymore. My other facebook account, I rarely open it since I used it joining contests many months ago. I have six hundred friends there but I think only ten people are my real life friends.

I never felt that way because I make sure not to let posts and statuses bother me that much. Either that or I unsubscribe to the newsfeed of people who are always full of drama. I cannot deactivate my account because most of my family and friends prefer messaging me through Facebook. And living away from most of them, I need all means of communication that I can get to keep in touch.
