My friend was telling us a story about their trip to China. So they went to China a few months ago. And qhen they came back, they brought a chow dog with them. They bought him in China cheap and had processed the papers and paid for the dog's air fare too. About two months after, the "dog" grew a bit... but they were wondering why he was walking upright and was unlike any other dogs. So they thought he is sick and brought him to the veterinarian. And guess what they were told? The dog was not a dog but a wild bear!!!! Hahaha so there was a mix up... they did not know they brought a bear home to the Philippines from China! Well they have now donated the bear to a local zoo so they can take care of it. They never did wonder why he was not barking!!! Hehehe Have a nice day every one.

This is true. I was asking my friend for a photo i just forgot to get it from her they really thought it was a chow chow and they asked the one that sold them and confirmed it was a dog... they brought it home and took care of it for almost two months.

Whoa! that's is so unbelievable (but i believe you though :D ). It is just right to give that cute little bear to the authorities and have him safe and back from the wild. Anyway, If your friend still wanted a dog, we have so many shelter dogs here in the Philippines that is available for adoption at PAWS (philippine Animal Welfare society) and tell your friend to just adopt and don't buy. Rescued and rehabilitated dogs are my favorite breeds, they have undergone so much pain before, that's why when someone gave them chances for another life to live with human, they bring back sweeter and more lovable than all other breeds in the world - an Aspin. :)

Hi Gelay! When I was in college I did remember going to PAWS office to. I had a friend who is a volunteer of PAWS and she loves dogs and cats, and simply all animals. :D If she can adopt them all, she probably would. =) I will tell my friend about it, I think they still did not get a new dog right now, and was still in shock of the recent events of the supposed dog they bought from China. :D The Bear was already donated to a zoo, and i hope that it is now doing well too. They really hoped for something like the dog in this blog. http://www.aplacetolovedogs.com/2011/02/chow-chow-kuro/1486609949/ (Not a ref link).
