let's lose weight

Hi friends (",) for this year i plan and i plant to stick by the plan to lose weight. My plan is to reduce my carbs and sweets/dairy. Exercise 30mins a day... i do hope i'll lose weight. my exercise will be purely cardio -jump rope, jog and go up and down the strairs... do you think this will be effective?? what are your plans to lose weight?

Hello, The steps that you've planned to take in pursuit to loose weight are pretty fine and won't make any clinical impact on your health. Many people have a wrong perception that by eating less they can loose weight quickly which is not at all healthy and can result in serious health hazards. By doing regular exercise and by having a balance diet we can easily control our excess body weight in my opinion.

I'm trying to cut out sweets and not doing a good job at it. I haven't been buying them but my favorite cookies were on sale when I went to the store yesterday and I couldn't resist. I recently bought a trampoline because my cardiologist suggested it and I got a sweat belt that I wear around my "muffin top" all day. The trampoline is fun so I do it a few times a day for as long as I can. I weigh 156 lbs and want to get to 135 by summer. It's going to be tough but I'm giving it my best try! My daughters boyfriend lost a lot of weight by eating only oatmeal every day.

It is a nice idea to have a plan for a better health. If feel over weight, better to have some measures to reduce it and hope you will continue to do it and which is an inevitable requirement in these days. Good health is a blessing and we need to spend some time for a better cause for ourself is a nice idea, unfortunately people are not giving required attention for exercise and good health, but ready to visit the doctor and spend money unnecessarily.

Absolutely as a dieter myself one the main thing to focus on for losing weight is a no carb or low carb diet. Atkins work very well for good quick weight loss. But a hard diet to stay on for some. When you do this the thing to remember is to stay away from anything that is white and of course all the sweets. You can also either jog or walk, but when walking put some ankle weights on your arms and legs. 2.5 lbs on the ankles and 5 lbs on the arms. Lift em over your head, rotate in a circular motion forwards and then back words. hold them out to your sides while you count to ten. When you walk walk where you can gauge yourself and make a goal to do one more lap each day. This how I do it.

It depends on how do you want to lose.. If you want to just lose weight then you plan is okay but be careful because you might also lose your muscles too that will make you skin sag... So, with your exercise,, I think you need to do some weights to... you can search some easy weight training programs in YOU TUBE.. to be guided.. In my case,, I just eat RICE onceaa day and I don't eat anything before sleeping or if I do just one banana or milk because we don't need to eat a lot at night because the body is not that active so the metabolism is also slower,,,, There is no WRONG FOOD,,, You can eat EVRYTHING but be sure to eat it in a BALANCE way =)

Hi choconut! I also have the plan to lose weight this year. I'm planning to cut my carbs intact especially with rice. My wife will always scold me because I used to eat more rice and she's afraid I might get that "hypertension thing" and might die young..So, I finally decided to eat less on rice now and have some exercise everyday. May we have success on this plan..

Losing weight can really be a challenge, as I have been trying it for a long time. i sloe some, and then I gamin some. it is hard to maintain my wight, but since I have been on my regimen of dinking my fruites and veggies each morning, it has helped some. I am not losing weight all that fast, but I am certainly not putting it back on either. I am glad for that as I need to lose weight badly. I want to keep myself healthy, and that is why I drink the fruits and veggies each morning. I am also trying to watch what I eat as well too, as it all goes hand in hand. I also walk as long as the weather is permitting. i hope someday, to get down to the weight that I want to get to, but it will take a long time to get there.
