There maybe wrong but I would like full 100% freedom in my work, I do my work when I like and when I can, not be bothered by employer. I calculate my budget and work out the rest. I give commitment to people who respect me. That is why I am self employed. What about you?

I also like freedom but it,s hard for me to do it. I can't earn enough money online and doesn't have my own business too. So for now I'm a regular employee here in Ksa. But maybe someday I can manage to have my own business and free of my own time

I also don't have any business, I work part time freelance at a market research company. There they don't pay me basic but only commission and incentive. That is why they offer 100 percent flexibility.

I would like a job for starters.I am unemployed. In my country to have 100% freedom is a dream. To work as slave is reality. 50 hour work week and you still don't get paid.

Well I guess that kind of thing happens everywhere. The solution is always to make your self, self employed just like you have done. I'm also self-employed. I work as a Freelancer online and doing offline projects with my colleague. To be honest the earning somewhat surpassing while I'm in office although you can't ask how much you make in a month? Because when we are doing projects like this we might not get paid monthly. But if we take a year's income and divide them by 12 the amount is quite surprising. Of course by doing self employed thingy we must be able to control our every aspect including health assurance and manage our costs effectively since no one giving you that protection automatically anymore.

For me, it is because I have a more flexible schedule. My clients are reasonable about me needing to be home with my child, and I can get as much work as I can do. I do find it more stressful than a regular job would be because I am always working on something. Also, this wouldn't work if my husband didn't have a full time job with benefits.

The reason that I choose to work for myself right now as opposed to having a traditional job where I work outside the house is because of the fact that I do have two young children that do have a lot of different needs and it has always been true that my children come before my job. I've not been able to find any employer that agrees with me on that one so I decided that I will not work for someone that won't respect that my children are my first priority. When they are older, I might go to work for someone again, but for right now, that just isn't something that is possible for me.

I am happy with my boss so there's no need for me have a 100% full freedom. I am free to do what she asks me to do at my own time. There may be rushed work, but i am happy to do it always, because i love my boss for being the kindest and considerate boos.

yes, you have a very caring boss too. Usually the bosses I met are quite inconsiderate not to mention anything else.

When i was in the bank , our overall boss the manager was so considerate. But my immediate boss, the cashier, since i was a teller then, was an envious woman. I sometimes refute what she directs me to do because it's incorrect. Because of that she has her eyes on me always. She plays favorite, the one who would always praise her or give her something is her favorite. She was eventually terminated because of an anomaly that she has done. Served her right!

There is nothing wrong with the idea of owning your time. After all freedom is your natural birthright. I know that society may tell you otherwise. I think the happiest people may attribute it to their freedom, partly. I also try to manage my budget monthly since I'm working part time. I believe that your earnings will increase as long as you dedicate the time needed to complete a project.

My country's national anthem says: "Free, let us be free forever" and that is the way I like to live. Both at work and with my social relations, I like to have freedom to act and to think! When I have that freedom, then I feel free and I am happy!

I didn't have that freedom when I was working. I had two girls to support so I had to work to pay the bills and keep food on the table and a roof over our heads. I now after working for thirty-two years have the freedom that I always wished for. I was blessed to be able to retire by the age of fifty which was something I always wished for and was able to do by God's good grace. This is now my freedom to get up each morning and do whatever I want to each day without a care in the world and not having to deal with a mean boss is the best freedom ever.

Even I like freedom like you and who on this earth won't like to be free but its really hard to have freedom when you are employed there is lots of pressure at work place where I work but that's also have its own fun. Despite of every sort of problems I like my job I never though of starting my own business but definitely would have to do in future.

I agree. If you want 100% freedom you must put up your own business, your are the boss of your time and quality of work. What I really hates sometimes being an employee is the time in and time out, they are very strict with the attendance...

Hi there ! We can only have that full blast freedom if it is a personal business but if it is a corporation even if with family , then it is still hard to have that 100 % freedom more so if we are in a blue collar job where in we got many bosses . We need to comply with whatever our manager had given or instructed for us whether we liked it or not and as long as it is related to work we are obliged to follow . That is why blue collar job is not a luxurious job , it is so full of stress and pressure.

Yeah, I think I have a freedom in my work because we are not with our boss. It is quite stressful if the boss is around because of the thought that someone is watching us unlike if he is not around, we can do what we want and we work freely without pressure. But still we observe work ethic even without a boss.

There are several things to consider when seeking for a job. Before I retired I worked at the university and part of the time I had to give classes. That wasn`t the freedom you speak of, but I was working in what I liked to do and that was the best for me.

Being a mother of four, I also want to earn to help make both ends meet. And the only way I can be both effective as a mother and earning for the family is through making a business in the comforts of my home or atleast have an online job. I have done this and I am pleased with the results. Now, I just need to find the right project to work on and hopefully stay with it for a while.

I'd like the idea of 100% freedom in work. But I don't dare to be self-employed. The risk is too high compared to the burden I have to take for my family. Currently I'm employed to my employers and I still feel I have the freedom. Well, not entirely 100% maybe, but I'm satisfied enough. That's the most important thing

I understand what do you mean by wanting to have full freedom in working. I consider that every job whether it as a self employer or as an employee have it owns advantage and disadvantage. It is a good thing that you know what you want, do whatever makes you happy and what you enjoy the most, that is the most important thing. Right now Im doing an apprenticeship job but I also run a side business which is selling my handmade crochets. I enjoy both of my works. I dont consider freedom as the main factor when I do my job, even when Im being an employee for my ownself I still follow some rules and restriction so I dont think there is 100% full freedom. For example when I get some orders from my buyers, I need to discipline myself to finish the order on time or else I might lose my customers. Working as an employee for an employer has different advantage which is I receive my salary every month and get bonus when I can perform well at work. As a self employee I only receive money when I get order and business is not always stable.

Now i do not mind work at regular time 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, probably just like what you said job with no 100% freedom. Probably couples of years later, i would do the same as you are doing now being a self-employer, who knows. Whatever sort of job it is, just follow our heart and enjoy it
