I just found out that Benguet State University is offering distance learning courses which is cool specially for people who cannot study on campus. Not only Benguet State University but PUP, PNU, UP, Don Mariano University in Ilocos, and many others. Full details are searchable in the net.

Hi, From way back in high school days, I have considered taking up correspondence course, the one by mail. Now that we have electronic interactive media, it is possible. It do have its advantages, having to stay at home being free from the hassles of going to and from school, cutting down on the cost and getting it all from the comfort of one's home. The downside to this is the discipline one has to have in order to follow through for the temptation to slack off is too great to ignore. No mentor, no formal schedules, no bells and anybody not driven by strong determination to finish ends up back in square one.

As I was telling to one of our friends here, one must have a big heart to learn with determination to overcome the downside of non Campus studies. Now a days, the saying that there is no excuse for ignorance is becoming more and more relevant.

yes, it is possible now to get an online degree. several universities are offering courses which can be taken online. they are quite affordable. the only thing is that you need to be motivated to finish certain course. otherwise, it is easy to start, but hard to finish. with the demands of work or peers or family, it is quite difficult to focus on the course work.

hello there,as you said it, it is a welcoming change. As for me, I don't need to spend thousands of dollars in order to get in a prestigious Harvard Class Room before acclaimed professors. It is indeed a wonderful experience sharing the education that only the rich and brilliant can afford.
