I look at my schedule and it said 3-8 pm. Well it's just at 7 and the phone rings says failure to close from security they call my boss on vacation. He calls me and goes we close at 6pm, I'm like I thought that but it says 8pm. He just stops and goes ok well how's it going. I go well I've been cleaning, and he goes oh. He made the schedule, and obviously screwed up. He goes well just close now then, so I close up but irritated now, just by this it sounded like he assumed I just stayed open. I will pointed it out when he gets back but that's 2 weeks.

Maybe he just made a mistake. Might have made the schedule alittle fast before he left on vacation there. Take care...

I believe that all of us are only human, that includes those of us that are just employees for someone else and it also includes individuals that are the owners of different businesses as well.
Being that we are all human beings, it does mean that there will be times that we do make different mistakes in our scheduling and also the things that we do in our lives. That said, I would definitely hold onto the schedule to show it to your boss when he does get back from his vacation.

hehe i am wondering is there a system that monitors stores that tells the owner or bosses that a store should be closed a t a certain time? that is kind of really a nice one because that is live monitoring! =)
You have got an hour off though, but that sucks if you are not getting paid for it. I assumed you just closed it and the resumed on the cleaning part? still your schedule was pegged at the 3-8, 8pm being the time you leave the place all closed down. :D have a great day.

Those kinds of mistakes can be so frustrating. I am sure your boss was more embarassed at what he did verses the fact that you were there. If he was going on vacation he was probably rushing through it. Sorry your hours got shortened I know that makes a big deal when you count on that pay. Hopefully the next two weeks you can make up that time off. Good luck to you.
