why kid laugh and weep in sleep

My mother used to say... the Angel is telling the baby "you have a beautiful mother, she is yours forever" since the baby can't see yet, the baby will smile. Then the Angel will tell the baby "Since she is a beautiful mother, I will take her to heaven with me" then the baby will weep or cry. Old folk's story, totally baseless but fantastically and amazingly nice to believed in.

Maybe they too have dreams like us. Or maybe it's just an involuntary reflex that they do these things when they are asleep. We can never tell for we are not experts. Maybe only studies could answer us with our question.

When the do cry and week or even laugh during sleep it means they are having dreams. Dreaming is not only for adults or grown up kids. Even infants do dream and actually they dream a lot. So when they laugh in sleep, laugh with them but when they cry don't cry with them. Cuddle and kiss them to make them feel they are safe in your arms.

Hi, I also don't know the answer to this question. Some people say that they are watching dreams and so they laugh or cry. But if they are just born and they don't have any experience of sadness or happiness in life then how can they dream? But it is very interesting and have fun while watching sleeping babies laughing and crying. Every movement of baby makes us happy. Really they are like angles and are very innocent.

well in our are, they answer to this question with a kind of mythical explanation like the newborn babies can see devil and angels, and when they see devil they cry and get scared and when they see angels they laugh or smile. this happens when they are sitting idle and looks at nothing and just simply laugh or cry. they even dream of this angel and demon thing. thats the best explanation i can give you :)

Why do grown ups laugh and weep during sleep? Ihave cought myself several times.Babies jut like us have dreams. The baby is dreaming something.
