SO I am perusing Pinterest for quilt ideas. I love just scrolling through and looking at the various quilt patterns, getting ideas etc. I love scrolling through and looking at the colors and patterns and all the talent. So far I have not gotten any ideas for a pattern I would like to put together and I think I mainly loook to try to help myself with my color combo inadequacy! Since age 8 I have been crafting with things requiring color, sewing mostly, and have a huge problem putting colors together and making color patterns work. It takes me longer to choose the colors of the fabrics than it does to actually make the quilt! So in scrolling through Pinterest...I saw this really pretty one! Oh my gosh...it was mine! I look and here someone had pinned a picture of my Mickey Mouse quilt! I couldn't believe it! Someone "liked" my quilt! Well, at least I know people are looking at it, and that is the first step to buying! She even mentioned it was for sale! http://pinterest.com/annaelmsjo/quilt-stuff That is the link...if you want to look. It just made me smile to see my work and someone else complimenting my work! I wonder where she saw it?

That is wonderful that you are selling your quilts. I am going to start working on my jewelry this weekend and will start selling it online as well. I know how to make earrings, but I want to learn how to make bracelets and necklaces. I am taking classes in sewing as well and am hoping that if I can make some sales on my jewelry that I will be able to buy more supplies to make purses and totebags. I also want to take up quilting as well. I love your work.

Thanks so much! Hey, you were just talking about sewing things with scraps and small pieces of fabric... why not do a search for a pattern and make jewelery holder/carrier to go with the jewelery you make? What I am talking about (might not be called that) but...mainly for travel..they have little roll up or fold over pouches with little pockets for small things or necklaces and a snap feature for rings and bracelets, zipper pockets, things like that. The roll kind you have this length of the little pockets, tabs etc.. and then you fill it and hten roll it up and it ties with a bow, toss in suit case and go! Just a quick search...something like this.... http://www.ehow.com/how_2184940_sew-simple-travel-jewelry-case.html A better search and I know you can find a better tutorial and pattern. But if they buy the jewelery, they might want the travel bag too or just to keep their nice things in while in the dresser drawer. This was kind of the thought I had when I made that pillowcase to match a quilt I have for sale...something that goes with it or could be used seperately! Give it some thought!

I don't do pinterest, but do view. I just don't have time for it all! But I like viewing and seeing what others have and what is "in" or liked outside of my personal likes.
