Hello fellow myLotters! Who among you wear prescription contact lenses as well? I recently got a pair from Freshlook and they're green. My original eye color's brown and with my dyed hair (red), the green looks pretty nice... Would just like to ask, why colors would you suggest? After three months, I'll be purchasing 3 more pairs in different colors... :D Any input will be appreciated! If you have contact lens care tips, I'd love to hear about them as well. :D Thank you! *bows*

I am wearing prescription contact lenses but they are clear. I haven't tried any colored ones because my husband and most of my family prefer my natural color and the anime-like shape of my eyes. Being Asian and all. Anyway, one time, I extended my wearing of my contact lenses and my left eye got wounded. There's a white scar on my iris and I got so scared because I thought it will be permanent. Good thing the doctor was able to help me, and he said good for me because had I delayed that, it will be difficult to remove and cure. So never ever extend wearing your contact lenses.

I used to wear a clear one, just for my right eye... :) the left one doesn't need correction. Oh! I have a similar experience, but I slept with one lens on and I had such a hard time taking it out... it went underneath my iris..x_x Is the scar completely gone now? I hope nothing of the same sort happens to you again. :) Thanks for sharing your tip!

yes, it's completely gone, good as new. That happened to me to and I was panicking. So I put visine in my eye and let my natural tears push it out.

That's good to hear. :D So, using Visine is alright for contact lenses then? I kind of use the same solution it gets cleaned with whenever I need to moisten my eyes up a bit...

To contact lenses eye care must be careful, because they have to clean and correct, if one will irritate the eyes. Here's how to take care of contact lenses properly eye. A contact lens is cool and makes beautiful, but it's better to use naturally without artificial eye. God gave us eyes to see the contents of this world, and therefore take care and protect your eyes from germs and bacteria.

I would wear some for fancy dress and costume parties, but that's all. I'm a bit afraid to put anything like that in my eyes (even contact lenses... great that I don't need them :D)... and I think that's a bit fake for everyday use, and I don't really see the need of trying to alter my own eye color... and I think it looks okay with my skintone and all (it's a dirty kind of greenish brown)... it's not that extraordinary, but I don't want anything crazy or fake-looking, either.

Oh, I forgot to mention that mine are graded... :) actually just one. I have amblyopia, so the other one doesn't really need a lens. haha... when I'm just at home my other eye's brown and the other one's the dark green shade. but I have an ocluder contact lens which is anooooother story. ;) I used to wear just the clear ones but I decided to alter my look a bit with them... I don't really go out of the house much so not many people see. HAHA! ;) True that, I don't want fake-looking ones either. When I wore them one day to a family no one really noticed, so I guess that's a good thing that they sort of suit me and no one asked if I did anything. Haha! :) thanks for your input! :D

I am a contact lens user as well. I love grey, brown and violet eye effect. I used the extended lenses, which can be use until 1 year. I am advised to always change the lens case every after 3 months. Don't let your contact lens dry into your eyes. Don't ever forget to remove it from your eyes before sleeping and one thing more, high heat may affect the lens material so better avoid any near heat like your in a barbecue grill party, etc.
