The White House has announced that tours of the place, mostly done for school kids, have been stopped to save money. Supposedly this will save something like one or two million dollars a year or the around the cost of one or two of Obama's trips he took to spread fear about the Sequester. Or one of his thinly disguised government trips during the campaign that were actually campaign trips like the ones with his two $1 million each buses. Of course right now he is on a much more costly trip to Israel that it has already been announced will be fruitless.

I guess he had to cut down somewhere and this is a good place to start. I'm sure if a school or group of people want a tour they will do it for them. As for the trip to Israel I'm not sure they can feel that way until he gets there. I think it's something that has to be done no matter the cost.

No he is just being petty. Where he should cut back is the much more expensive trips he takes trying to justify his unwillingness to compromise on anything. All he wants to do is tax and spend.

How about we save some time and money and not have Obama do his March Madness brackets on ESPN. I can't believe he spends his time on that. I'm way behind on my e-mails, thus me being late here. Don't know if you've heard, but the actress who plays Kristina on GH is leaving. Also, and this is weird, the actors from OLTL who came to GH, might come back. But not as the original characters. The rumor is since Prospect Park won't let those actors stay on GH as Starr, John, or Todd, GH is going to bring them back as other characters. And those characters can have nothing to do with the roles they originally played. So it can't be like Starr's evil twin. It has to be a brand new character.

I think they should also quit paying all the politicians once they are out of office and providing them with healthcare that we are not entitled to. Stop paying for all their children to go to college. I never knew we paid for college until recently. It is crazy. Not only do they get a decent pay, they practically have the rest of their lives to live without worries, while they are quick to take things away from the ones that really need it, and say it is too expensive to cover.

It's just a gimmick to make people suffer. His doom and gloom crap didn't work and the sequester happened and now he wants to do everything in his power to make Americans suffer rather than admit he was full of it. If he actually cared about these kids, he'd let the tours happen. Something that hasn't been reported enough is that Eric Bollinger and Sean Hannity of Fox News, as well as Donald Trump have all offered to pay the costs of the White House tours so these kids won't miss out. Obama isn't responding though, because he genuinely wants these kids to miss out. http://now.msn.com/eric-bolling-and-sean-hannity-offer-90k-to-keep-white-house-tours-afloat http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2013/03/11/this-white-house-tour-brought-to-you-by-donald-trump/?hpt=hp_bn3 I should also add that I don't even know if cancelling the tours saves any money. The tours are done by volunteers and I'm betting those Secret Service officers are on the clock whether the tours happen or not.
