I am still not able to work at the moment so the insurance company pays for me.

The state insurance shoulders my monthly wage at the moment but the money just has not arrived yet for almost two months now. I have already written an article here once how it feels to be so broke. Now I am on it the second time around. My bank account just has 33 euros and good lord I could still use my credit card. I feel so helpless. Insurance companies keep nagging you to pay your monthly dues but when it is time for them to pay you then there are just too many steps and paperwork to do and submit to their office. I am feeling that my confidence is going really low when I don't have money on hand. I am in another country and it just drives me crazy and scared. If it was my own country then I could just go home and beg for my family members to adopt and feed me while I waiting for things to get sorted out. I still feel blessed though as compared to so many out there that is why I am trying to calm my self down and hoping that things will get better.

I am very sorry for the position you are in. My current situation is similar. I am unable to work and have no insurance. Yet because I'm ill, I have many very high medical bills. Not being able to pay your way hurts your self-esteem. Good luck to you and I hope your situation improves soon.

I am so sorry you are unable to work, and that you have to wait, on the Insurance Company for the money, that they own you, yes insurance company's will drag their feel, when it time for them to give you money.
