Social networking can have both good and bad impact on youth, and on everybody else. The good effect of social networking lies in the fact that it is an effective way to communicate, while the bad side is when people let social networking take over a big part of their time and their lives. I think people also have to make sure that they know when, where, how often and how long to use social networking sites.

Facebook has good and bad impact on everyone. It just depends on how a single person uses it. One of the good impact was Facebook can reconnect you to the people you know that had been away from you without any communication. I have know many stories like this. The bad impact on the other hand is this, my brother for example. He been playing games on Facebook ever since he have made an account there and I can say that he already addicted. He even spent money just to buy some token like on the games on facebook.

I to have experienced this in my lectures people pretend to be making notes on their Ipad when they are actually either on Faceebook or Twitter.People using social networking websites in lectures is obviously a negative thing but not all use of social networking websites are negative.Their ability to allow people to keep in touch with people is definitely a good thing.Currently I am living away from home at university and Facebook allows me to keep up to date with my friends and family at home and they can keep up to date with what I am doing. The chat option on Facebook saves me from needing to pay for lots of telephone calls, also its a lot better for sharing pictures than phones are.

Well I think it can have a bad effect or a good effect, depending on the person... Some people use it too much when they should not be using it. And it sometimes lead to bullying as well. But there are good effects social networking has, such as people giving other people advice and being their support group!

Social networking in itself isn't bad. What makes it bad is when people abuse it or overuse it. It's not its fault if the users chose to extend their bad habits on their social networking accounts. Pretty much that they also don't have anything to do with people who can do business or promote it through these sites. It's all about user responsibility.

I love the way you can reconnect with old friends and meet new people around the world. It is also very useful to learn about someone based on what they post on social networking sites because it really tells you alot about them. Young people have, unfortunately, abused social networking and it monopolizes their time. Hopefully the next generation will understand the problems with this when they see their mother's crazy tweets from twenty years ago...

Hi there! Well, social networking, like any other products of technology can either cause positive or negative effects, depending upon how one will use it. For Facebook, its positive cause mainly is easier communication for people who would like to update other people about what's happening in their lives, and also through chat, private messaging, groups, even group conversations and by uploading photos and updating status. These are all useful, sometimes not only for users that are private individuals but also for entrepreneurs. On the other hand, some people use it excessively and that's when it's not right. I think that it still depends upon the user. I know some young people who use Facebook just how it should be used and some do not even play applications which can really get addictive.
