I think that today's life is filled with trouble and economic problem that there's less rich people compared to a decade ago. For me it's nice to hear stories of people Living the american dream . having their own big house, beautiful cars, maybe having their yacht, big swimming pools and having such awesome business. Having big acres of land despite they didn't have high education but still manage to be rich either by inheritance or just some sort of luck in business or just life is just good to hard working people. Now jobs are getting harder to find. It's not that great hearing people losing the good life they used to have.

I feel for the people who once had and don't now. I believe many who had so much lived above their means and that is why some of them are in the predictament that they are in at this time. You be surprised at how little people really need to survive. However, I believe to many people are greedy and want too much. I'm not the type that needs to keep up with the jones. Never was and never will be. I have never lived a luxuriously life. Though now I feel after working hard for thirty-two years I'm now been blessed with living a good life. I have a house that is paid off and thankfully its ours free and clear. Meaning we don't have to pay taxes on every year like you do in the States. We have alot of fruits and veggies growing in our yard. Nothing better then going to your yard and eating organic produce. We have one car to many and hoping to sell one real soon. The bills are paid and we come and go as we please. We have pretty good health especially me Thank God. What more could one ask for or need?

That's very nice that you have your own fruits and vegetable garden in your own backyard. That would definitely help you save a lot of money.

this economy is not the same as it use to be. the gap between rich, poor, and middle class is closing. pretty soon, there won't be a middle class.

It is just so bad that's only a few people in America would be able to continue to enjoy a comfortable life.

Most of us are dreaming to have a good life. I personally, dream of that also. Not that much, but just enough so that I won't be thinking of where I could make a loan before payday. I have a well built house and a car. That would be enough for me. Still hoping. Have a great day!

Yeah just having enough is what we just want. although it won't be bad if we have more things in life.

Who wouldn't want to live a luxurious life? I'm pretty sure everybody does. But with the economy going down, prices going up and more people getting unemployed, life is much better before. That's why people should start saving and spending money wisely to prepare for what might happen in the future. Living a luxurious life may be out of reach as of the moment but at least having a comfortable one is not far from being possible.

A lot of people no longer really have the choice of living luxuriously and now when it comes to spoiling yourself we have to pick and choose so that way getting what we want doesn't interfere with getting what we need. I don't think it's necessary to live luxuriously but I think it would be nice if we could all live comfortably. It's hard to worry about not having such awesome things when you are often worrying about being able to have enough money to afford your bills, food, and everything else that could possibly cost you money at any given point in time.

Hi Hotsummer, actually there are more rich people than before. Money does not just disappear. It transfers from one person to another person. It can transfer from one country to another country. There are more rich people in Asia because the money transferred to them. I think we have to realize that the economic situation we see in our country is not a good representative of the economic situation worldwide.

If i would be a rich guy, I think couldn't stomach living like a king knowing that other people are suffering so much. it is very unpractical and unfair. Traveling first class on an airplane for example is just not right. You already start paying so much with just transportation alone. But I know people who still do this. Hey, each to his own but really, be a little bit fair to those in need of even the simplest needs to survive. I was never rich like them that is why I think this way maybe.

It is really frustrating yet inspiring when I heard stories of successful icon/ personalities who started of being none to someone because of their talent and not because of education.. Actually I heard a lot of people who proven the fact the education is not really the key to be successful or to become rich..I'm beginning to loss my faith that what we really need is education, hence what we need is good opportunities to enhance our talents and empower it to be the main edge to our success. That is true, jobs now are getting harder.. so I think we should start to discover our talents and enhance it for success..

Thanks as you have rightly pointed out the stern economic reality that is being experienced by most people around the globe. I do not feel good enough learning about the handful of the richest and wealthiest people who are enjoying their lives amazingly. It makes me very painful when I go through with the news that huge people can't meet their basic needs and many more die because of severe malnutrition. There may happen a big confrontation between halves and halves not in future.

I agree. Living practically is the common way of life now. just keep what'e necessary and let go of that we don't need.
