Summer this March in the Philippines

This past few days I really really feel the heat... it is really summer here in the Philippines. When I woke up this morning, I noticed that many people already complaining about sweating of their body even they are not doing anything.Instead of drinking hot coffee they prefer to drink cold water. And you can not go out without bringing umbrella with you. At work, I always hear them complaining about the heat even theres an air condition inside the office, you can not really stand the heat. So, they are all looking for any means and ways to refresh their body like eating Halo-halo { a filipino dessert made of 12 kinds of toppings, milk and grated ice} which you can find any where here. It is popular every year particularly during summer. We also eat ice candy with different flavors but the popular is Manggo flavor.And if it summer we take a bath for three times a day or more than that. As Filipino we expected that if it is month of March its summer already!!!! We have to enjoy it, at least for only 3 months!

Indeed it is ! Early morning the sun is so very bright and in noon time like the sun is burning !You go out and you will perspire a lot , and your face like being fried. We need to put on sunblock to protect our skin from damaging , a sunblock with high SPF. We need to wear sleeves and thin clothes with dark color so we will be ventilated also. We need to increase fluid intake to hydrates ourselves always.

I thought dark colors absorb more heat? It should be light colors.

Yes , for me dark colors should be during rainy season for in rainy seasons seems we feel sadness , loneliness and to wear dark somehow it brightens our raining day.

Yes just enjoy the months. when it rains it pours a lot and sure flood to come.. I just hate floods.

it is OK.. as long as the sun is shining and giving its rays means life is going to fine and life continues. just put protective lotion and always use umbrella

Summer in the Philippines interest me much because, you do not have to hide to any possible cover when heavy water from the clouds pour in. The only problem with summer here in my country is grilling hot feelings when the KING SUN intensifies its rays.

Yes. It is already hot here in the Philippines, but you know what? I did not feel any heat even though I know its hot. Maybe I focus too much in other things like work online and so, I did not notice that its hot today

Wow! thats great!!! here in Cavite, we already feel the summer!!! Sometimes I can not stand the heat, I have to drink cold cold water everytime.... And at night I have to take a shower before going to bed.....

It's also sunny here in our province already. Luckily though, it isn't as hot as it should be on summer yet.
At night, we still have closed windows when we sleep, though we already turn on the electric fan to cool us. Then, i still can't stand the very cold water from the faucet to take a bath at night again.
Mornings would still be the same, very cold water thus i don't wanna take a bath sometimes, just sponge bath.
BUt i know in a few more days we also can feel the heat you are already feeling there, my friend.
Oh yes, halo-halo is the best during summer.

Its good that you still did not experience the heat like here in our place. I think for the next few weeks you will say that its really hot here in the Philippines!hehehe

Today it is already so sunny, looking out into the open blinds at the side of our office. Our purchasers said it's so hot outside.
I think while in our office we cannot feel it because of the centralized air condition, but once outside i know it's already very hot.

yes that is true that when summer here in our country we really feel the heat because of the summer presence,that is why there are some business minded people have a small business like halo-halo,fruit shakes and other cold food that will burst the thirsty feeling of the people.

No doubts its really summer here. Its hot wherever you go even the malls air-conditioning cannot beat it. I showered twice already and soon be showering thrice. My baby has colds today because I bathed her before going to bed so that she'll feel better sleeping.
Our electric fan is on number three and yet it almost doesn't makes any difference. I actually went to bed with my underpants to make me feel better and cooler. How I really wish hubby would buy us an air-conditioning.
I have ice cream last night to beat the heat and of course it did makes me feel good but I know it also adds some weight. :(

It is just starting and I expect it to be hotter comes this April and May. I hope we can all bear the heat of the summer season this year. It looks like every time summer arrives the heat wave becomes more intense every year. Anyway for the children they all welcome it since it is the time of the year where they can play all day. But for us working people it is hard to stay outside for a long time since it somehow weakens us when exposed to the heat of the sun for a prolong period of time.

Hi,
Personally, I don't look forward to summer. I am one of those who is not at home with the hot temperature, being besieged with migraines, sore eyes and general weakness as if I just want to lie down under the cool shade of a tree all day. I feel more active on cooler temperatures, even if the water freezes over, it has no side effects on me whatsoever, the colder he better. One reason I love the cold months of November to February, I can work all day without feeling tired or lethargic.

Summer is already here.. it is indeed so hot already so we should be careful also because of this temperature it may cause some heatstoke, dehydration and many more related sickness.. don't forget to drink lots of water and avoid exposure to the sun specially between 10am2pm .. halo halo is a great way also to refresh and because of this season its time again to go for a swimming escapade..
