Pope Francis' sense of humor is hilarious.

Pope Francis has just been elected and installed, all in less than a fortnight, and in an event of global proportion, considering Vatican City is a tiny state inside Rome. But of course, now we know that the Catholic Church is 1.2 billion strong, and counting, considering the new successor of fisher Peter is a humble one, simple in his ways, compassionate to the poor, decisive, strong, unyielding to the powerful. Now he has rabbis for allies. Much tales that come out about this one-lunged Pope are pretty amusing. He doesn't mean to make these stories funny, but indeed that is just what comes, ha ha. Read the Vatican receptionist's story: http://ph.news.yahoo.com/blogs/lookout/pope-call-thought-prank-141456036.html What I like best is, in his modesty, after being elected Pope, he had to tell the cardinals “May God forgive you” for choosing me.

He went down the Papal jeep to kiss the sick, gosh, that is a sight! Who does that to his fellowman nowadays? I am humbled.

Hello eileen, Last week it came on the news all of a sudden so we decided to see out of curiosity whom they had finally chosen as there were a lot of Spanish People coming out jumping up and down and it was raining a lot too. So I thought whats the name they have given him? Its because I think that the popular ones well one of them was going to get voted. So I had to wait and see after all who this man was and right away I knew he would be very very good his whole stance. Very commanding without saying a word I like this Pope and his sense of humour and the way he reaches to people and how he knelt and asked the People to bless him first before anything. I think at first the people in the square felt like me "who will this person be"? Very worth waiting for I had known his face before but I could not place till I saw him with Pope Benedictus 16th dressed in red. Just a bit worried about his security though I hope they guard him well because I really do like this very unusual man.xxx

Don't worry much about the security, he's got angels guarding him. I saw the three shot pic with Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI. Pope Francis was smiling there, watching his predecessors, not knowing, for sure, that he would be Pope, too.

Hiya eileen, Angels keep him, Angels bless him and guard him always. He might not have known that he would be Pope someday. He probably always liked to be in the background I am like that I don´t like to be much in the limelight. I am so pleased that he has already taken action about certain things too. He will work hard I am sure while he is there. Was also surprised how he fitted into the situation like a velvet glove like he had been Pope all his life truly amazing person. At the least most would have trembled a bit at the thought of it. Yes I remembered after where I had seen him but had not realized I only thought that one of them surrounding the others could be the next Pope and look what happened.xxx

Ha ha, at least you know that once, you were in the same vicinity, breathing the same air, and right above, the angels were watching over...

Hi there Eileen Leyva! That's hilarious! If I was the receptionist, I would be mortified. I really like the new pope's humility. I am sure people will love him for it.

Hi eileen leyva: I like his attitude to because it makes him closer to the people in the church and it teach us with their attitude that authority should not be arrogant and look people behind their shoulder. I think that's the right attitude to renovate the church. ALVARO

Yes, you are right. Pope Francis is endearing, and we could relate with his humility and kindness. He is us, one with us, and he may be Pope now and infallible, but he is very much loving us.
