You should control your eating

Hi, Yesterday I was watching my favorite program on TV and eating my favorite grapes simultaneously. The grapes were very sweet and I ate too much grapes and it had bad effect on my digestion. I had to go for toilet for 4 times at night. So I think we should control our hunger. Even if we are eating our favorite food we should not eat more than enough. It is very bad for our health. We had a lesson last night of controlling overeating of food. do you have such experience?

Controlling our eating is easier said than done. Unless we were taught from a very young age to only eat a small portion we may eat and eat and not realize how much we have eaten. It is bad for our health. Something we need to learn as toddlers.

hi you are right. we are taught from very young age that we should not eat more than enough. It is harmful to our health. Sometimes we behave like small children. Thank you for the response.

Avoid eating while watching tv especially if its your favorite. There are some cases that you just keep eating and eating without knowing it. You are enjoying it, the fact that your brain didn't recognize that or cannot process that you are already full because you are busy with watching tv. It becomes a hobby. Excess is always not good. Ive tried it also so i stopped eating while i watch movie or by just watching tv. :)

You can eat while watching tv, but you have to get a small bowl and if that bowl of food finish, resist from getting more. Goodluck! xx

actually i am doing that now because i have notice that my stomach become bigger and bigger and i don't like that my stomach will become belly or bigger,so the best way is to control my eating especially in rice to avoid or to control my stomach to become bigger or belly.

Grapes is good for detoxification. It was indeed a good choice that you ate grapes, but unfortunately the timing you ate fruit was bad. Thanks for sharing your experience. It made me realize that I have to do some cleansing.

Hello roshigo, Whenever I eat fruits like grapes, black berry or any fruit that we can eat in excess, I take out the quantity I wish to eat (which is always limited) in a separate bowl. In this case, even if I eat the fruit while watching tv or working on a computer it is always in limit. You must also try this. Even when eating chips or popcorn instead of eating from the packet or a big bowl always take it out in a plate or a small bowl. This will help you limit the quantity and prevent the side effects of over-eating.

Excess of anything is bad,but I think,grapes have cleared your stomach.Fruits are not harmful for our digestive system.They are the cuisines prepared in the kitchen of mother nature.Grapes particularly clean your stomach.Still don't eat too much of them.Excess of anything is harmful,be it fruits or anything else.I agree with you that we should control our eating.

I strongly believe everything in moderation! That is the trouble with eating too much fruit, it's great if you have constipation and need to go, but too much fruit will end up with you sitting on the lavatory frequently! I find at night is the hardest, mainly because I tend to stay up late, I am more active at night than in the morning, and the temptation to snack is great and it's bad to eat before you go to bed, as your body doesn't have a chance to burn it off! So I limit what I do eat, I have a few nuts and a banana which staves off the hunger, it's so easy to snack and that piles on the calories, that you don't need!

That is why most people say that we must always do things in moderation especially when it comes to eating.. there must always be a balance. This happens to me when i have chocolates around, i tend to eat more than i should.

It is very easy to overeat when watching tv. The best way to handle that is to only take a certain amount into the room with you. That is what I do, and I am usually too lazy to go get more! I have gotten an upset stomach from eating too much, but that doesn't happen often! Your mentioning grapes made me think of my cats. One of them loved grapes, and when I would have them, he would want one too. I would pinch it in half and take the skin off before I gave it to him. I am not sure if he liked the taste, or just liked the juice but he would go crazy when I had them.

Beyond limit every thing is bad including eating. First thing should be ear while we watching TV. Second thing if we wants eat some thing we should be keep with us in limited quantity.

Well, I am at home I eat what my mom cooks. And I have to say about the case that she likes to change almost daily. However, I'm realizing to eat a bit too much and therefore denounce a few pounds overweight! What brings me up to pounds, however, are not the ordinary meals that my mother prepared, but rather everything that I eat in extras such as snacks, cakes, sweets, etc. I weigh 82 pounds dress (net should be 80), my ideal weight, in proportion to my height should be around 75 Kg Take care to feed, otherwise you may feel bad!

Hi, Your mom's food would be normal and healthy. But you are gaining weight due to eating more snacks, cakes and sweets. But you should take care of your eating. Because gaining weight and becoming overweight is very bad for our health. Overweight invites more diseases. Thank you for the response.

Hi friend, sad to hear about this, luckily i don't have such kind of experience in my life. I am very careful in my eating activity and always take food in a limited manner to avoid a lot of unwanted issues. We must control our tongue and take food within limits to avoid this kind of problems

Oh yes, I have. Even though I eat healthy as a vegan, when I come across a food I love and there is plenty of it, I do tend to center on that one food. I have only gotten sick from eating like that once. That was when I made some vegan pizza bread, oh my gosh, I was in heaven, I could not stop eating it. Tofurky makes the best vegan sausages, even if you love meat, get your veggie protein from these sausages. I over did it. Never again. You are right, we do have to control.

I agree with you completely! I am having trouble with my weight, so I really need to control my eating. Portions are very important because so many extra calories can just sneak right in and it doesnt seem like its to much, but once you check and do the adding you find that its way more than you thought. I found this when I looked up the calories in a serving of sweet and sour chicken is about what you should consume in a DAY!!! So I am working to eat less and keep a food diary. I did good today. I had oatmeal for breakfast, a sub from subway and only ate one Fajita at dinner. Even though I wanted two. I am very happy with myself today.

I think the most important thing is to learn what kind of what reacts in what kind of way with your body, and how much to eat of them at the same time. I've had the same experiencw with cherry - if I eat too much, I feel blown up and bad.

Hi Rosh ! I loved eating grapes , dash a little of salt then the taste would be so perfect ! I am just lucky i don't feel anything even though i over eat grapes , haha but seldom i overeat because in our place it is so expensive ! Just one thing we have to remember that when we are so full eating grapes we should not go to sleep directly , because tendency is after eating grapes we felt so full then sleepy. We need to avoid this , do something so divert attention from sleeping.

Easier said than done. I said to myself every time not to eat so much. But when facing delicious food, I just can't control myself. I always feel guity after eating too much. Everytime after eating, I am thinking of losing weight. I am fatter than ever before. God bless me, I have to conttol my eating from now on...

I used to eat constantly. Not just when I was hungry but when I was bored or stressed as well. I went from 110 to 140 within a two week period. I stopped eating when I was bored and stressed by running when I was bored or stressed.
