Two days ago I got a call from a friend inviting me to attend her daughter's graduation in which she is finishing c*m laude. it is going to be a huge celebration because she is the first of the two kids to finish college. So now I am putting aside my trip to the gym in favor of this party. I know that there will be lots of food there and I know that I am not going to control myself when it comes to eating. But I know that I can't missed this party since it's also one way of meeting new clients and also maybe renewing ties with some of my old clients. It is graduation time in our country so schools are busy, parents of graduates are busy too.

I guess you have to prioritize sometimes, the gym will always be there for you, graduation parties won't and I know you will easily burn off any excess calories, and besides you deserve a treat, it's not every day after all is it? I am sure you will enjoy it and I hope you meet some great potential clients!

Hi Wolfie! As of this writing the party would have been done already and yes, I was able to meet a number of potential clients. It pays to be out there.

That is great that your friend's daughter is graduating with honors and that she is one of the first to attend and finish college. It is a big achievement and one she should be very proud of. I am glad that you are going to the party and will be meeting new people. I wish you the best with getting new clients. I know that I will be receiving my Master's degree in the mail in a couple of weeks and am quite proud of myself.

First of all, congratulations for your friend's daughter. Well, you have good strategy to meet new clients and invite them in Mylot.

Hi cobalt! I don't think they are the type to spend time in front of the computer.

Haha, it's funny how we should star out the u in c*m laude due to the language restrictions in Mylot :D! But, ontopic: I know, these graduation parties are really big ab-killers. I have low willpower when it comes to free food in front of me. I mean, if I plan my meals for myself, I can keep my calories down my planning and not having snacks at home, but in these occasions... and people are going to force you to eat them, as well, saying that one day of goodies won't hurt... In my country, the graduation time is in May, actually, btw :).

Wow, she's graduating with honors! Way to go, your friend must be really proud of her. And I like the way how you see that event as another opportunity to mix business with pleasure. I am sure that your friend will not mind if you meet potential clients at their party.

it definitely deserves a big celebration. and celebrations are meant to be enjoyed, so go ahead and taste everything! what course did she finish? any occasion can be a business opportunity, but it's also a great time to catch up on each other's lives.
