Slow internet

Hi all :)
It's been quite a week or so that i got very slow internet on my datacard.
I am not able to access sites like facebook and even mylot. The service says that it is 3G but doesn't behave like one. Lol.
Today being a holiday, i wanted to have some fun playing and trying some games on facebook but no luck for me ;(
I may just pass this as another boring day..
Anyways, Happy holi to all...

I would like to appease you by saying, it is better than having none. but how can I when you thought already that you can't play on your favorite games or go to your favorite site. ahhhh this is going to be a boring day.. why not go out and let the people paint you with different colors then take photo of yourself.. or take photos of the even and think of good article about it. Holi is interesting festivity in India... have fun with it.

Yes Holi is a colorful festival. But I don't celebrate Holi. The last time i celebrated with my family was long back when i was in 6th or 7th standard..maybe 12-13 years old..those good old days..
Hmm..so do you got work today? It's 9.45am in my place right now and mylot time is 23:17:30

why not celebrate? is it a celebration for 13 years below? its 11:30am here... lol and i have no work now it is vacation.. so this is my work mylot and the other site...

No it's nothing like that..we just stopped celebrating after 'that'.

I also experience the same thing most of the time. That is why, I had a hard time coping with my work online because of the slow internet connection which causing me to spend more time on a work which is supposed to be done in a short time. The result, less income for me.
Well, as of now, I can still manage but I am really planning to have a permanent connection in my home. I am presently using an internet stick.

Internet stick is just like a usb device with a sim card powered by smart, a network provider in our place. The speed would depend on the location.

Oh..is it the same as datacard/dongle then? I too have something like that.I insert a SIM in it and then i can access internet based on the package and yeah it varies with location too.

I use a datacard. I use internet to reduce my boredom after work but it turns out that internet also contributes to my boredom now.. Lol.
What's an internet stick and how do you use it?

3G is the fastest connection that is currently available in here..lol..You can expect the speed then..
Could you elaborate on HSDP connection? I would like to know more on that.

Happy holiday too...I guess we can't blame our connection because we are using wireless...eventhough if it says that it is running on 3G or HSDPA...

Why can't we? If we are paying for a service then we must ensure we are getting that service, isn't it? We can blame or complain if that's not available.

I bet mine was even slower. For weeks we had no internet connection at home, and the only choice I had was to use my phone as a modem. I tethered it to my laptop via bluetooth so I could use its mobile internet plan on my laptop. The highest it could reach was 115.2 kbps. I had to use the mobile facebook site even if I was using a laptop because the connection was so slow...

Oh my..that was pretty bad then. Instead of bluetooth you can try with your mobile's data cable..that would give you much better speed than bluetooth as per me. Earlier i used to use internet through my mobile connected to system. I purchased my datacard just recently.

I hate it when my Internet slows down. Just making me want not to use it anymore and I do play a lot online too and it's definitely required Internet glad that it don't happen everyday or else ill be having a bad day everyday haha

Wifi? That's cool. Well, i don't have any hotspots here so i cannot use it. This internet speed really is troublesome..I don't understand why they won't give me full speed when i pay for that..huh!

That's really frustrating, we used to browse the web using 3g broadband modems as well, there were times that it was stable and fast, while probably most of the time the speeds were moderate but there are times were it's just really slow and unstable. Fortunately, we have a dsl connection now, even though it's not that fast, it's not intermittent.

That's great since you have dsl connection now. I guess my package is just over that's why it's having slow speed but i don't understand it shows more download speed and less upload speed...don't exactly know how it works..

My internet is slow to so what, I have to do is wait until my internet, starts working again, my page just stops and I have to wait, until everything starts working again, I really hate it when my internet, runs slow.

Yeah it just so laggy here..i can only see white blank page for more than 5 minutes and then the page also stops loading.
