Hiiii Friends... All of us gets angry. Sometimes with reason or without reason. Even I get angry. Infact I am short tempered. I used to throw anything that i got in my hands. I would regret later because I somtimes end up breaking those things which I like the most. Lol.. But now I found a new way to control my anger. Whenever I get angry I just start listening songs. This changes my mood and also helps me forget whatever happened. My anger just disappears. How do you all control your anger??

Lol. I didn't know you would throw tantrums while in anger. Hearing songs is always good. As i my other post, i had said music is a medicine. And here you are making that true. Cool. With forgetting anger, do you forget the reason too? I have good patience level so i get angry very late but i do get irritated sometimes too frequently.

Hahaha.. There's nothing like that. You just need to maintain your calm. Have some attitude.

If I feel that my emotions could get out of control I try to snap out of it as soon as possible. I keep myself busy, trying not to think of the cause of my anger. I just want to be alone and not be bothered so it would not aggravate the "situation".

Hi ruchad, You're right. Everyone gets angry once in a while. It's normal as we are all humans and humans do get cranky at times no matter how much of self control they may have. Anyway, the trick that I learn and use whenever I get angry is to count from 1 to 10 very slowly before I respond to a provocation or situation or whatever that makes me angry. By doing so it sort of defuse my anger somewhat and then I can think more rationally as to what sort of response I should make instead of regretting it later by acting immediately. I hope you know what I mean. Have a nice day.

I think I have a small temper as well, and I usually fix it by taking deep breaths. There are times where I couldn't drown my self out using music , though I do actively try to lower my voice when I know I'm stressed.

Taking deep breath is very common when angry. Its also like meditation or pranayam.

Hi, I am also short tempered like you. I also used to throw the things. But it is very bad habit. Regretting after is not of use. we have already damaged our things. We should control our anger. We all know count down is the best remedy for controlling anger. Taking the name of God or chanting is also helpful to cool down our anger. Anger is bad for our mental and physical health.

Even I am regreting for the same. I have lost many things that I loved the most. But I never knew that anger is not good for health. So really thanks for your response and making me aware of it.

Well its really hard to control anger. In my case when Im angry I just dont want to talk to anybody! I want to give myself time to cool down. I just want to be alone.. Maybe watch movie or sleep Or take a hot bath haha..thats what I do.. I just dont like being angry i think its not healthu so i tried to be cool most of time. Certainly "Anger" isn't a positive feeling and it can spoil peace and pleasantness of life a lot. Generally I amn't a person getting angry easily. But whenever I got angry my actions and thinking at that mood wasn't agreeable to me later. Just think about your angry mood at frequent intervals and see any change is occurring.

I am a very patient person so I do not have much problem on this concern. I don't get angry easily. Well, if there are times that I get angry, I would just have to stand up and take a walk for a while. But I would agree that music is really a good form of changing the person's mood. Have a wonderful day!

Music is an excellent way to calm your emotions. I usually write my feelings or compose songs with my guitar to settle what I'm feeling. I've recently started yoga and meditation. Running helps to calm me down when I'm mad too.

controlling anger is a difficult but you have to control it in some way or other. the best way to control anger is to decide yourself that when ever you are angry you wont do anything for next 10 min. in that time gap try to think about anything else or simply divert your attention like watching kids shows, music etc. but the best way to prevent anger is meditation and yoga. after all prevention is better than cure.
