once, while of coming back from college, in the lane at night, two teenager boys, came to take my bag, one stand on my right side and other in the left, I just kept tightly my bag with two hands and as I was near my home, I just screamed terribly and both they run away. I was lucky, because once they cut the bag with knife for my cousin and her hand injured badly. Have you ever experience something like that?

That's extreme. I must agree that you've been lucky. At the same time I feel sorry for your cousin. My experience was different, as I'm a guy. I was in college back then as well. I was traveling to a library, in a crowded bus. As I reached my destination, I realized that my pocket has been picked. Fortunately I'd bought the tickets when I boarded the bus. That saved some embarrassment for me. Luckily I had a friend's house nearby. I walked to his place. Send the entire day there, had lunch at his place and in the evening before leaving his place, his mother gave me 20 bucks. I guess I was lucky as well, although I had lost my wallet.

once that happened to my father, may he will be in peace of heaven, he was a respectful retired army man, who went to take his monthly salary, and in the way, someone robbed his pocket.... that was so difficult for him to spend all the month like that and managed with some bank savings...

Firstly, I'm really sorry to learn about your father's sad demise. Secondly, I salute him for serving the army. I can understand how tough it had been for him to meet ends that month. Being picked is a terrible feeling.

thank you for understanding and sharing your feeling here. well, that was so difficult for him as he used to teach us to be good and responsible in all matter of life, it made him sleepless for some nights how people are like that and why their parents did not do their job to teach them good way of life..

I am glad that I have never experienced that. But I have experience being robbed with my necklace twice. The first one was when I was in High School. A young street peddler told be that I should be careful coz there were a lot of snatchers in that place. I was then wearing a sabrina-cut blouse, thus exposing my neck with the necklace. When I got seated on the jeepney, someone touched my nape. I thought it was my bestfriend who was just fooling around, and then seconds later I felt my necklace being pulled. I was surprised and so was the other passengers. I got hold of the necklace and when it snapped, the guy who warned me was the one who took my necklace. Funny, but he was just able to get a few inches of it. The most part of the necklace I was able to hold on to.

She's sometimes encountered strangers who want to take away her bag but, she kept fighting it and sometimes she would punch the man's face. Ha ha The funny is my best friend is a woman and she has this strong fist that can punch a man's face to protect her from harm. I always tease her and call her, "Hey, Girl power e..."

I did not experience like that but i also experienced something like that, Before 1 year only when i was new at my current city Gurgaon, I was a new employee in my Company and in the night time i was going on the road. At that time i was not aware of the environment of city. There is a petrol pump just 400 - 500 meter distance from my company , near the petrol pump there was 6 boys who already drunk so they stopped me and start to bag everything which i had, but i was lucky enough and on that day my violet was not with me, I had left my violet with my friend, it was by luck only and whatever i have was the i card of my company, so they checked everything and leave me after finding that i had nothing.

hi, extremefun. yes, this happened to me almost 9 years ago. i was in an internet cafe here in rome. i placed my bag near the door of the cabin since it was tight and i was teaching a friend how to use the computer and the internet. 3 hours later when we were about to leave, my bag was gone. in it were my passport, cell phone, driving license, ATM card, house keys, and around 50 euros. i sent messages to my cell phone requesting the thief for the return of my passport. i said he/she could just drop it near the internet cafe. no response, nothing... you can imagine the countless problems i encountered afterwards. i learned my lesson the hard way. nowadays i am very careful with my bag and i don't usually place my important documents inside.

indeed. fortunately i didn't have plans of travelling during that period so i had time to get a new passport. it wasn't easy. my brother was the one who helped gather all the documents needed in order to get a replacement. back home, they asked for my authorization/power of attorney from him and since i didn't have any official document with me, the embassy here gave me a hard time with this too. it took almost three months before i got the new one. although the need for the passport didn't arise during that time, it was kind of scary being in another country without it.

I have also experience the same. When I was in college, I am used in walking along the city. My house is far from my school. The tendency is that, I always walk alone going to school. One time, the man followed me behind my back. I just thought that he was a usual person who walk along not knowing that he had a bad intension. Then he rush after me and get my bag. Fortunately, a good man help me and try to get my bag to the strangers. I am lucky that he help me.

That's scary. Imagine a rogue running after you. You're lucky that everything turned out to be good. Most importantly you're safe. It could've been dangerous. Good day!

I didn't actually have my bag robbed, but once there were two really shady people right beside me when I wa son the tram... luckily a young men noticed them, too, and he told them to go away... there was a bit of a verbal fitht between them, but they got off. I don't know what I would have done as a vulnerable young girl (I was 17 then) if they really tried to take my bag away. But since then, I'm more careful with my bag, and I always keep it close.

it became a lesson for me to keep my bag close to me from that day, specially in the road, when a bike or car passes I change my bag to other hand and take it tight to me.
