A Mother's Heart

As a new mother I am little by little absorbing and understand the role of a woman as a mother. Being a mother is not a simple job. There is no salary or day off here. We work 24/7. This is a lifetime work. A woman doesn't stop being a mother if her child finishes schooling or gets married. A woman continues to be a mother until the end of life. A woman doesn't just become a mother to her child/ children but to everyone. A woman with a mother's heart extends being a mother to people not even their children. Having a mother's heart doesn't have to have a child. Women with a mother's heart are our aunts, our teachers, the nurses, our women neighbors who are always their to act as mother's to us. These women are as important as our biological or adoptive mothers. With or without children they try to fill in or fulfill the responsibilities of a mother. I have an aunt who didn't get married. She never had a child of her own but she was a another to all my cousins and I. We can always approach her and ask advices that we cannot do our real mothers. She encourages us to be good children. Though we are not her own, she treats us like hers. There are a lot of women like this. One could be a kind woman next door. Or a woman at church who guides us in life as we talk to them. To these women with a moter's heart "we love you.". Have a great day everyone. Hugs to all of you!

. I always pray that my mom be kept away from any harm and illnesses. She gives me strength and inspires me when needed.

It is very true. When I was younger I could go to my aunt with anything I wanted to talk about and she was there for me. Things I could not talk with my own mother about I went to her with. It was nice having someone to talk to when I needed it...

. Our aunts are precious women in our lives too. They are like our mothers. They discipline us too but makes sure they do not get the role of our birth mother.

You are right. Nobody values the work. No salary, no specific qualifications, no vacations/leave and takes all the fall or failure in the family.

That is true! I am a mum-to-be and right now I feel the changes in my life. It seems pretty difficult but exciting anticipating that motherhood. I've been trying to read stuffs online, preparing how to be a mum ( a good mum hopefully). I'd say if there is no love to the child, being a mum is just stressful and unnecessary.

Congratulations to you! Share photos please of your little one. I just gave birth a month and a half ago. I did the same like you. Read a lot to prepare myself. But in the truth, I was never ready. I was shocked, depressed and tired. Good thing there is a family whom had been around to keep me sane and help around as I get use to be a mother.

. Time is what we all need. It seems that because we have to live well we work so hard that we don't have time for our family. We work hard because we love them. But spending time with them is more important!

the best gift i have is my mom! love her so much~! she takes so much care for me! Mother's love is valuable! we only could realize it by losing that! my friend lost her mother and he realized the true love of her mother! but his realization was too late and thus he could not realize while she was alive! his story woke every one of our school! We felt so cold for him! I love my mom and i ever will!

. We value things or people when they are gone. So now that we are aware of this situation let us not procastinate in showing our love to them.

I love my mum dearly and she had a happy 80th birthday on 25th March. Yesterday we had her birthday party. My sister and her husband have four children. I have got three children. A mother's heart is very special and full of love for her lovely children. There are many motherly women out there that are loving like a mother. A mother of children works 24/7. Having a disabled child needs even more care and it seems never ending. It is a joyful lifetime of work happily and joyfully given.

. Belated happy birthday to your mum. I agree, a mum works 24/7 for life. I didn't sign up for this but I was given task to be a mother and a gift ... My daughter. I will do my best as what my mum has been to me.

Our motherly instincts kick in as soon as we see our own child. And there is no stopping of being a mother to just anyone. A mother's heart is fragile. She always cave the concern for people around her.

Yes you are absolutely right, being a mother is the toughest possible profession on this earth because not only she has to handle her children but also the whole family. she takes responsibility with such ease and then makes it a point to complete it successfully. There are no leaves or holidays for her as she works throughout the year, so salute to all the mothers on this earth.

being a mother is the most hardest role to play yet the most rewarding one.. raising a child is not that easy it takes a lot of love, patience, time and everything.. and you are right when you become a mother their is something that you are being a mother to all.. we became more concern on our environment maybe because it is our instinct as a mother..

Indeed very hard that's why we should be understanding when our mothers are stressed. We need to appreciate their everyday work for us. Always thank them for what they do and they did to us.

I am married but don't have my own kids yet but two years ago I decided to adopt a very beautiful child. Now, she's already turning 2 years old next month. I love her and I know deep inside of me that even though I will have my child, my feelings for her as a mother will not change. I love her like a real daughter. Everyday I miss her when I'm in the office. I always look forward seeing her whenever I got home.

You have an adoptive mother's heart. We all long for a child. But we can always have a child in every person we meet. A woman has always a mother's heart because they always extend the motherly care.

That is really true. All mothers can really relate to what you said. That what makes us different from the male species. A mother's heart is truly magnificent. There is no such thing as retirement and it is the most noble profession in the world.

there would be no better things than becoming a mother, I think. because a baby starts a family, the best love only from mom in the world appears while the baby is born :) congratulation and hug to you!

Really? "the bets love only from the mom in the world appears while the baby is born." I beg to disagree. Showing of love doesn't always have to be with smiles, hugs and kisses. The care, discipline and teh sacrifices the mothers do for us is also love.

hi leateagee lovely discussion, I had relatkives who were wo men who had no children b yut they mothered me and I know that I have felt motherly many times here as my only child is almost 54 in June. I have mothered my roomie a lot in fact I tell her its time to eat three times a day as though she has a clock she naps a lot and just wants me to wake her when its time to eat. I guess most wome]n do have this mother instinct. Maybe thats why I loved being a nurses aide for so many years caring for people.

. I couldn't say the exact percentage of women who have motherly instinct but I am sure you are one of them. Nobody tells you how to care but you do. You enjoy being a help and loving what you are doing. Thank you for being a mother to others.
