Feeling Bunged Up

Today was my first full day of being 'drug free' since my operation as they're bunging me up as far as going to the toilet goes. Fortunately the cystitis has gone but it's er..the other that's bothering me now. I had a missed opportunity in the chemist earlier as I could've bought some Imodium tablets but forgot. How long do you think my bowel movements will get back to normal? My belly feels double its size and whenever I go I can tell I haven't done it..all..lol. What I need is a bloody great dump. Haha!

If you believe in homoeopathy as I do, I would recommend carbo veg. 30 thrice a day. Everything will come out lock, stock and barrel!

If that does not take care of the whole problem, do lots of walking and drink lots of water tomorrow, along with all our other suggestions we are sharing with you.

That is a dangerous proposition GG specially lots of walking. What if she is away from where she needs to visit!

I've just been to the loo again thinking I was about to do a huge dollop but it all came out in bits. I won't be staying up late, that's for sure. Bed at midnight for me. Hopefully, a mega sleep might help!

Yep, pain pills will do that. Start eating spinach every day and yogurt as well. You will be right as rain in no time at all. Do not let it go on too long.

Usually eating plenty of fruit helps me and keeps me ultra regular, mind you I tend to polish off too many bananas, mainly for their potassium and the powers they have after a good work out at the gym! Hopefully it will only be temporary and a bowel movement will come, be like a bus, you will wait ages for it, then you'll have a few come along at the same time, if I hear the earth move, I know it'll be the aftershock from 'up north!

oh I do feel for you as i have diverticulitis and if I eat even a little of the wrong things I get the trots too and sadly Imodium will not touch it as its caused by a damned infection of the little pieces of whatever I ate wrong to get infected in the little sacs of diverticuli.S o I have to end up in the hospital to get the antibiotics I need as one cannot even go to your doctor when you are pooping every twenty minutes lol.Hope you feel better soon Janey. The moral for me is just do not eat nuts, seeds, and popcorn and any berries with seeds in them.So I am really very careful not to eat the list of no nos the doctor gave to me. Now I feel fine.

xxxskullxxxx - No...Don't do it!!!
Janey A million people already told you that Imodium is a not a laxative but a potion that makes you stop going and I don't think you want that. Black jelly beans, and they must be all black are a great laxative, trust me. I only see them available at Easter for what reason I do not know, but I love them so much I usually consume at least 3 whole bags every Easter..Yes, I have them in the candy dish as we speak. I also have the major diarrhea all month and yes I have it right now...Oh well, it's worth it. Did you know that raisins also work well for that condition? Well they do. Now, I still have not received my "English expressions for Dummies" book so what the heck does bunged mean? Hats a new one for me. Hope this finds you feeling better and Happy Easter...You guys do have Easter right???JUST KIDDING!!!

I adore jelly beans. Does liquorice work as well? I love that too. Bunged up is usually a term used for a blocked nose..but I guess it can be used for other things as well lol.

Drink lots and lots of water. Especially have a glass of water filrst thing every mornig before you drink tea and in a few days you will get regular again. Water is so important. I had this trouboe after being on morphine and then high does of codeine for months last year. Drank masses of water and it really helps. Good luck

Imodium is a sort of antidiarrheal used to reduce the amount of stool, which can slow the rhythm od digestion.
