Whoa! I have watched him when I was still in highschool and still a fan of the PBA. I never would have thought that he'd go down with a disease like this since my impression of basketball stars is that they have excellent health and physique. I'm pretty sure his son in the UAAP will continue his legacy. You will surely be missed Sir Bobby Parks, may you rest in peace.

i remember my cousin was really a fan of the shell team before mainly because of magsanoc-paras-parks trio. that's why i'm really familiar with him.

I read both at Internet and Newspaper. He was 7-time best import awardee in PBA days. The last I heard that he was coach in Asean Basketball League or ABL team San Miguel Beermen.

I am not a fan of basketball, but i think i heard the news about him. A colleague of his has started at FB the fund raising for his hospitalization and medicines. Sad, that some famous basketball players he said are left impoverized and forgotten when they grow old . So he started doing an advocacy to gather help for those impoverized former basketball players.

yes. that's so true. the fans just forget about them after they give their lives just to entertain them for years.

Ooh.. From what I remember, he was an import of Shell. With Ronnie Magsanoc and Bejie Paras. They have green uniforms back then.. Those are the things I remember. Then I think he coached or co-coached the same team when he retired. Not so sure.. I miss watching PBA :( + + + RIP Bobby Parks Sr. + + +
